Classic Stage Company has announced that Danny Wolohan will replace Andy Grotelueschen as Samuel Byck in the company’s sold-out production of Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman’s Assassins, directed by CSC Artistic Director John Doyle. 

AT THIS PERFORMANCE…  returns to The Green Room 42 featuring Standbys, Understudies and Alternates from COMPANY; MOULIN ROUGE!; JAGGED LITTLE PILL; AIN'T TOO PROUD: THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE TEMPTATIONS: WAITRESS; ASSASSINS and LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS on Monday, January 24th at 7 PM.                      

Performances of Assassins have been cancelled for December 22 and 23, out of an abundance of caution due to increasing Covid-19 positivity rates.

Classic Stage Company has added a performance to its sold-out production of Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman’s Assassins to benefit The Actors Fund, on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at 2pm ET. Tickets, priced at $125 each, will become available to In the Spotlight members of The Actors Fund on Tuesday, December 21, at 12pm ET.

Classic Stage Company will join the New York theater community by dimming its marquee and lobby lights in honor of Stephen Sondheim this Wednesday at 6:30pm, just prior to the evening performance of CSC’s current production of Sondheim and John Weidman’s Assassins.

Anthony Misiano, in association with The Aviary and the wild project, presents the World Premiere of I SQUEEZED REALLY HARD. Directed by Jacob Titus (Spaceman by Leegrid Stevens), this one man comedy about one kid's tragedy runs through September 26th at the wild project.

A year and a half after its planned debut, CSC is proud to present its much-anticipated production of Assassins.

The theatre goes on to say that they hope to stage the production in the future, stating 'We hope to have a chance to get it right once we can start again.'
