Just in time for the holidays, on November 29th the Provincetown Theater (238 Bradford Street in Provincetown, MA) is set to open its final major offering of the 2018 season, the joyous musical memoir Always… Patsy Cline. Based on a true story, and featuring 27 hit songs from the legendary star, Always… Patsy Cline* follows the special friendship between the country-music icon and her devoted fan Louise Seger, who became a longtime pen pal and trusted confidante of Patsy. The production, running thru December 16th, stars Julia Salinger (from The Laramie Project) as Louise, and Laura Cappello (from You Can't Take It with You) returning to the title role - which, when she performed it on Cape Cod several years ago, the Cape Cod Times raved "Laura Cappello IS Patsy Cline." In Provincetown, it will be directed by David Drake, with musical direction from John Thomas, who'll head up the band.

The Boy From Oz is a raucous musical biography about the life of the most famous gay man from Australia - entertainer, singer/songwriter, Peter Allen - featuring songs written by him and with other collaborators.

20th Century Fox has released a new red band trailer for THE PREDATOR. Directed by Shane Black, the film stars Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Alfie Allen, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey and Yvonne Strahovski. 

Filmmaker R. H. Norman will show his most recent narrative short film HAJJI at the 14th annual HollyShorts Film Festival at the TCL Chinese Theaters in Hollywood, Tuesday, August 14th at 10PM.  The festival runs August 9 -18. 2018.

On June 15 at 6:00 P.M., the Long Beach Playhouse will present the eighth annual Long Beach Playhouse Radio Hour at the offices of Keesal Young and Logan. This truly unique event is a fundraiser for the Playhouse which, at 89 years, is one of the city's oldest arts organizations.

Provincetown CabaretFest 2018 (May 31 to June 3) will feature over thirty vocalists, musicians and comedians, appearing in the Paramount Room of The Crown and Anchor, during its Friday night show 'Music, Music, Music'. The Friday evening show is the largest variety show every produced in the festival's eighteen-year history. The entertainers hail from all over the U.S. and will perform in a variety of shows, in one of the most extensive cabaret festivals in Massachusetts. One thing is certain: Northport's stunning John W. Engeman Theatre never disappoints. This especially with their latest offering of the eight-time Tony winning musical Once. The absolutely exquisite incarnation, running through March 4th, is outstandingly directed by Trey Compton and boasts an incredibly gifted and beautiful cast. Based on the 2007 movie, the story centers on a woman and a man (not officially named in the show) who, besides instant attraction, are drawn to each other by music. However, it is a complicated and heart-tugging situation.
