Accent Dance NYC, a collaborative of international artists dedicated to exploring the artistic, cultural, and humanistic connections among people through diverse dance styles, presents An Evening of Cultural Convergence at the Ailey Citigroup Theater in New York City on April 9, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. An evening program showcasing the versatile talents of the Accent Dance NYC ensemble while building cultural bridges among collaborators through movement and music, audiences will enjoy works exploring the artistic, cultural, and humanistic connections among people from diverse backgrounds, purposefully juxtaposing elements of ballet, contemporary dance, salsa, jazz music, tango, hip hop, tap, and more.

Today Pennsylvania Ballet announced a dynamic new season, 'Magic of Stories,' complete with fairytale full length stories, world premieres at the Perelman Theater from choreographers with long-time ties to the company and a sparkling tribute to George Balanchine. Pennsylvania Ballet will also highlight local organizations for each production, including Career Wardrobe and the Audubon Society.

Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts is springing into action with even more exciting shows added to its 2019-20 season that everyone can enjoy. Performances include must-see local talent, classical tunes, hysterical comedy and evengings of jazz and American Songbook greats. Below are just-announced shows and the remaining 2019-20 season to spring you forward and into summer.

San Francisco Ballet and Artistic Director & Principal Choreographer Helgi Tomasson will launch the 2020 Repertory Season with SPELLBOUND: SF Ballet's Opening Night Gala on Thursday, January 16, 2020. One of the Bay Area's most anticipated annual events, the Gala, this year chaired by Patricia Dale Roberts, begins with a cocktail reception and black-tie fundraising dinner at San Francisco City Hall at 5 pm. The evening's performance begins at 8 pm and will feature twelve pieces, including three world premieres by current and former members of SF Ballet's Company: Val Caniparoli, Choreographer in Residence Yuri Possokhov, and Myles Thatcher.

Galveston's Grand 1894 Opera House - celebrating its 125th Anniversary with 'A Legendary Season' - opened mid September with the world-renowned Paul Anka singing the best of Sinatra and continues through early May, 2020 when this legendary season concludes with the iconic Temptations. Kris Kelly has released his new album Runaways.  True and vulnerable, Runaways is a collection of songs that encapsulates an entire chapter of Kris' life. The album is a collection of songs inspired by self-discovery and is a raw and candid snapshot of Kris' journey.  The world has been getting small samplings of the record through various track releases including “Birthplace,” “We Flew,”and “Cracked Porcelain,” leading up to the full album release.

Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts is excited to announce additional experiences for the upcoming season. The 2019a?"20 season is bursting with performances for everyone, from acclaimed singer-songwriters and must-see dance companies to renowned classical musicians, returning favorites and more. Marc Cohn, Spanish Brass with Chano Domínguez, the return of Live & Local performances and the always-funny Louie Anderson join the beloved Keyboard Conversations with Jeffrey Siegel series, internationally known violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter and Broadway veteran Patti LuPone to round out the Center's 2019a?"20 season.

Twenty-five years ago in Grand Rapids, the Van Andel Arena still was on the drawing board. Meijer Gardens had opened just three months earlier, but it would be many years before an outdoor amphitheater would be built as a venue for summer concerts.   At Cannonsburg Ski Area, on a steamy evening in mid-July, the Grand Rapids Symphony launched a brand new, outdoor concert experience called the Picnic Pops.   This season The Grand Rapids Symphony celebrates its 25th Anniversary of its D&W Fresh Market Picnic Pops with a series of three shows that are all time favorites with Picnic Pops audiences plus a special event capping off four weeks of concerts at Cannonsburg.

It is reasonable, with the Cleveland Orchestra playing its annual 'Salute to America' at Blossom, just yards away, and POTUS going through what appears to be his childhood dream of having tanks, planes and fireworks light up the nation's capital for its birthday, that Porthouse Theatre get into the mood by staging 'Tintypes,' a musical revue with almost fifty patriot songs.

Musco Center for the Arts and Pacific Symphony are teaming up to bring a free evening concert to the City of Orange on Saturday, Aug. 3. The performance on Chapman University's Bette and Wylie Aitken Arts Plaza adds a fourth city and venue to the 15-year-old 'Symphony in the Cities' program.

Kris Kelly has released his newest single 'Cracked Porcelain,' featuring an all-star team of musicians including Todd Sickafoose ('Hadestown', Ani DiFranco) on bass and arrangements by John Philip Shenale (Tori Amos).  The track will appear on his forthcoming album Runaways, due out on August 29th.
