It's time to strike up the band for the 7th annual concert by the McCallum Theatre Concert Band, with conductor and McCallum Theatre President & CEO Mitch Gershenfeld, on Sunday, March 24, at 3:00pm. Highlights of this year's concert will be a performance of the beloved "Carnival of the Animals" by Saint-Saens featuring pianist Jeffrey Siegel and a new text written and performed by David Gonzalez, and special guest appearances by Gavin MacLeod (narrator) and former TEN Tenor Chad Hilligus (guest vocalist). And, after the concert, there is free ice cream for everyone!

A unique collaboration: the All-Star Orchestra's Gerard Schwarz conducts the U.S. Marine Band - America's oldest continually performing musical ensemble - founded by an act of Congress in 1798, and dubbed 'The President's Own' by no less than Thomas Jefferson. Three programs feature the most famous concert band masterpieces, including works by Gustav Holst, Percy Grainger, William Schuman, and of course John Philip Sousa.

California Pops Orchestra, the country's only all-request pops orchestra, announces its 30th performance season. Conductor Kim Venaas and the 70 members of the Orchestra present five fun-loving performances at Cupertino's Flint Center, adding their signature playfulness, audience engagement, and surprise elements to the mix. The new season runs September 30, 2018 through May 19, 2019. All performances are held Sundays at 3pm, at Flint Center at De Anza College, 21250 Stevens Creek Blvd in Cupertino. The young wind musicians of Pacific Symphony have been blowing up a storm lately. Since last season's milestone 10th anniversary, which culminated in a triumphant European Tour, Pacific Symphony Youth Wind Ensemble (PSYWE)-wind and percussion students in grades 8 through 12-has continued to knock its audience off its feet with exciting and diverse programs performed with awe-inspiring talent. After opening the 2017-18 season with John Philip Sousa's march for the inauguration of President Garfield, PSYWE closes with another piece by the American march king, composed for the same president's funeral. The program also includes such gems as "Variations on America" by Charles Ives and a Suite of "Old American Dances" by Robert Russell Bennett.
The Yale Concert Band will tour Australia for the first time in its 100-year history from 26 May 2018, with concerts in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Newcastle. The band is renowned across the USA having performed at Carnegie Hall, in London's Royal Albert Hall, and many tours across Europe. Consisting of 55 brass, woodwind, keyboard and percussion players, the bands repertoire is varied, from John Philip Sousa's rousing band music to chamber and ensemble works.

Boston Ballet proudly presents two BB@home programs in February at Boston Ballet's South End headquarters (19 Clarendon Street) in an intimate, black box theater setting. On February 15 and 16 at 7:30 pm, audiences will get an exclusive preview of the Parts In Suite program which will be performed March 9 April 7 at the Boston Opera House. Prior to that, Boston Ballet II (BBII), the second company of Boston Ballet, will present an array of works on February 1 and 2 at 7:30 pm.
