Navigation Theatre/ART/WNY Presents SOMETHING WICKED

The American Repertory Theater of WNY will be co-producing with Navigation Theatre Company's in presenting the second showcasing of Western New York playwrights featuring the original work SOMETHING WICKED by James A Marzo.

Len Mendez Joins SOMETHING WICKED At Navigation Theatre Company

The co-production between the American Repertory Theater of WNY  and Navigation Theatre Company's of SOMETHING WICKED by James Marzo has named WNY talent Len Mendez as the music director. A recent transplant to Buffalo, NY, Mr. Mendez took a few moments to share his thoughts on this true Americana murder ballad. 

Theatre EVOLVE Presents the World Premiere of KRUGOZOR!

Theatre EVOLVE announces their third season with the world premiere of Krugozor! written by Chicago playwright Will Coleman and directed by Anna Rachel Troy. Performances run April 3rd through April 25th at the Athenaeum Theatre in Studio One at 2936 N Southport Ave, Chicago, IL 60657.

PAWS/LA, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit agency serving people and pets in need, has announced a one night only benefit event a?" Barrett Foa Has Friends! a?" on Monday, February 24, at 8pm. This very special evening of cabaret at Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood will feature performances by Foa and some of his most talented friends, including Broadway favorites Laura Bell Bundy, Alex Ellis, Carly Hughes, Chris Mann, and Adam Pascal, with more to be announced. Musical director is Doug Peck, Andrew Carlberg is producer, and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is the presenting sponsor.

Theatre Communications Group Has Appointed Erica Lauren Ortiz as New Director of Marketing

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre has announced the appointment of Erica Lauren Ortiz as its new director of marketing. Ortiz will be responsible for creating, implementing, and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing plan that advances TCG's mission to strengthen, nurture, and promote professional theatre in the U.S. and globally. Working with a portfolio that includes individual membership, events, and publishing, Ortiz will raise the valuation of TCG's programs within the theatre field while championing the not-for-profit theatre to our broader culture.

Kennedy Center Has Announced HAMILTON On Sale Dates

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announces today that single tickets for the Washington, D.C. return engagement of Hamilton will go on sale to Kennedy Center Members on Monday, March 2 at 10 a.m. and to the public on Monday, March 9 at 10 a.m. online at www.kennedy-center.org, in person at the Kennedy Center box office, or by calling (202) 467-4600 or (800) 444-1324. Tickets will be available for performances June 16-September 20, 2020.

On Beethoven's 250th Birthday, Never Before Heard Third Act Aria In Opera Lafayette's Leonore

Opera Lafayette is proud to announce its 25th anniversary season featuring its most diverse lineup to date. This year's season of three operas to be performed in both New York City and Washington, DC, includes John Blow's Venus and Adonis, Ludwig van Beethoven's Leonore, and an adaptation of François André Danican Philidor's Le Maréchal Ferrant (The Blacksmith). Opera Lafayette is renowned for its performances of both lost masterworks, once popular and culturally significant to the history of the 17th through 19th centuries, and early opera that is already part of the modern canon. In addition to this memorable season, Opera Lafayette will mark its 25th anniversary by unveiling a brand new website along with a celebratory video on October 29.

Harper Lee's TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD Comes To Denver As Part Of Both The Broadway & Theatre Company 2020/21 Seasons

Denver Center for the Performing Arts announced today that To Kill a Mockingbird, Aaron Sorkin's new play, directed by Bartlett Sher and starring Richard Thomas, and based on Harper Lee's classic novel, will play The Ellie Caulkins Opera House July 13-August 1, 2021 as part of both the Broadway & Theatre Company 2020/21 full season subscription packages. A public on-sale will be announced at a later date. Please note that the remaining 2020/21 DCPA Broadway Season subscription package and added attraction titles will be announced on March 9. The remaining 2020/21 Theatre Company titles will be announced on February 21.
