BWW Review: YOUTH ON STAGE: ANNIE the musical at Culture House Martinus

All in all Annie is fairly good musical full of surprises, not to mention its humane approach to life: Magical things can happen to us, but if the little details you've longed for so long don't match, it's more than okay to feel sad, though it might feel wrong in the first hand. In the end, tomorrow's only a day away anyways. I love you, tomorrow... And I love you, Vaskivuori!

BWW Review: NSO POPS: DIANA ROSS - MUSIC BOOK 2020 at Kennedy Center

There are certain artists whose names immediately fall in the 'legend' category and Diana Ross is one of them. Though no proof is needed, she is even a Kennedy Center Honoree, Grammy Award Winner, Tony Award Winner, and Oscar and Golden Globe Nominee. Her career spans over 50 years and dates back to the Motown era, as one of the most famous acts during that time. I was watching a Motown special a couple of weeks ago and Motown founder, Berry Gordy commented that 'Diana Ross and the Supremes' were the 'number one act' for Motown during its success period. Diana Ross is back in 2020 and dazzling more than ever before at seventy-five years old lighting up the Kennedy Center Stage with grace and incredible vocals.

CARTOGRAPHY Will Play at the New Victory Theater

Inflatable rafts on the Mediterranean. Dark holds of cargo trucks. Family photos hidden carefully in a backpack. Hear the stories of young refugees when CARTOGRAPHY asks what part we play in the lives of young people who set out into the unsure waters of their futures. Conceived and created by acclaimed experimental theater artist Kaneza Schaal [Bryce Dessner's Triptych (Eyes of One on Another)] and Caldecott-winning author and illustrator Christopher Myers (Misty Copeland's Firebird; creative director, Penguin Random House's Make Me a World) and produced by ArKtype, CARTOGRAPHY investigates how stories became a currency for young migrants at border checkpoints.
