Barbara Barrie, 89, is today officially releasing Blinded by Love, a new podcast hosted by the actress (Company, California Suite, The Killdeer, I Remember Mama, Significant Other), and her longtime friend, poet, business executive and community organizer, Margot Zucker Mindich, 85. Blinded by Love  aims to share the rarely heard, honest, and often hysterical stories and experiences of people in their 70’s, 80’s and 90’s in their own words.  

A Wonderful Guy: Conversations with the Great Men of Musical Theater, Eddie Shapiro’s follow up to his popular Nothing Like a Dame, is available today in hardcover and digital formats on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. A Wonderful Guy is published by Oxford Press.

Vineyard Theatre has announced the return of Tony Award-winning actor, legendary clown and New York busker, Bill Irwin in The New Busking Project. Created by Irwin and Craig Weinrib, the 15-minute, outdoor, socially-distanced live performances will take place in New York City between Astor Place and Madison Square Park.

Vineyard Theatre, Goodspeed Musicals, Irish Repertory Theatre, in association with Jeff Berger, has announced that  John Cullum: An Accidental Star is now available on demand for an additional two weeks through Thursday, May 6.  The final live watch party event will take place on April 17 at 2:00 pm EDT.

The first time I saw John Cullum live on stage his fingers were clutched to a window frame of designer Robin Wagner's art deco luxury liner, playing the maniacally flamboyant theatre producer Oscar Jaffe attempting to board a moving train in his Tony-winning turn in ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY.

This and other personal tales are the core of John Cullum: An Accidental Star. Stories about the golden days of the American musical and his friendships with the likes of Richard Burton, Robert Goulet, and Julie Andrews, told in his home-style manner, is interspersed with songs from shows in which he appeared.
