Tony Award Winner Kelli O'Hara and Sirius/XM Radio Personality Seth Rudetsky Headline Westport Country Playhouse Gala

Toby Stephens and Claire Skinner will lead a revival of Peter Nichols play A Day in the Death of Joe Egg, directed by Simon Evans.

Best in Shows, a star-studded cabaret evening benefiting the Humane Society of New York, will honor Broadway stars Andy Karl and Orfeh on Monday, October 14 , 2019 at 7 pm at Feinstein's/ 54 Below. Karl and Orfeh be awarded the Humane Society of New York's Sandy Fund Award in recognition of their deep concern and support of the needs of rescued animals.

Joanna Gleason gave a  memorable performance in her superbly crafted, written and directed show last night at Feinstein's54 Below. Jeffrey Klitz, her music director and pianist, created some of the most haunting and extraordinary arrangements for a group of musicians consisting of guitar, banjo, autoharp, cello, percussion and 3 back-up vocalists called the Moontones.

Ahead of her returning three-show run at Feinstein's54 Below this week, Tony winner Joanna Gleason sat down for a phone interview with BroadwayWorld to discuss her love-and-understanding letter to her parents and the lessons loss (and performing after loss) has taught her.

Last night, legendary performer Pat Suzuki attended a sold out performance of the NYC-based theatre collective Three Hares' terrific new song cycle, On This Side of the World, with music and lyrics by Paulo K Tirol.  Performances run May 2 - May 12 at Access Theater in Tribeca, New York.

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of a new comedy thriller, "Murder Too," by David Wiltse of Weston, former Westport Country Playhouse playwright-in-residence, on Monday, May 6, at 7 p.m. The cast includes Playhouse alumni David Beach, Joanna Gleason, Deirdre Madigan, and Andrew Veenstra. The reading will be directed by Anne Keefe, Playhouse associate artist and curator of the playreading series. Tickets are $20 each.
