HEAD OVER HEELS is a jukebox musical that features music from The Go-Gos and the story line of Sir Philip Sidney's 16th Century romance prose 'Arcadia'. Head Over Heels, a jukebox musical comedy featuring music by The Go-Go's, will launch its first D.C. metro area production opening Monumental Theater Company's 2020 season.

Monumental Theatre Company received eight Helen Hayes Award, Helen Category nominations at theatreWashington's 2020 Helen Hayes Award Nominations Announcement Event held on February 3, 2020 at The National Theatre. Daddy Long Legs received six total nominations, including Outstanding Production in a Musical. Monumental Theatre Company's production of Be More Chill also received two nominations.

Following its sold-out run of Be More Chill in 2019, the Helen Hayes Award-winning Monumental Theatre Company will be producing three musicals for the upcoming 2020 season: Head Over Heels, The Drowsy Chaperone and Songs for a New World.

Monumental Theatre Company will be hosting a Bottomless Broadway Brunch on November 30, 2019. This event will feature performers from Monumental Theatre Company's upcoming 2020 season, as well as a silent auction, brunch and bottomless mimosas. Tickets will go on sale November 4, 2019.

Signature Theatre presents Assassins with music & lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by John Weidman and directed by Signature Theatre Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer (Broadway's Gigi, Follies). John Weidman stopped by the show recently and posed for a photo with the cast.

The new musical, Montgomery, with book, music, and lyrics by Britt Bonney will play for one performance at the Kennedy Center Page to Stage Festival. Monumental Theatre Company presented a workshop of the first act in 2018 at the 17th Annual Festival. The full length musical will be performed at this year's Festival on Saturday, August 31st at 10:30am.

Signature Theatre has announced the full cast and creative team for Assassins with music & lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by John Weidman and directed by Signature Theatre Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer (Broadway's Gigi, Follies). Signature Theatre continues to be the largest single producer of the work of Stephen Sondheim and Assassins marks the 30th production of a Sondheim musical in Signature Theatre's history. Assassins will run from August 11 - September 29 in Signature Theatre's intimate MAX Theatre.

Monumental Theatre Company will present its fifth annual Flip Flop cabaret, hosted by local actress Dani Stoller, on June 1, 2019, at Pitchers Bar in D.C. Stoller's previous theatre credits include roles in productions at Folger Theatre, Studio Theatre and Olney Theatre Center.

Set in Pittsburgh, PA during the 1920s, On Air tells the story of Frank and Flora Conrad, who were on the edge of discovering mass broadcasting. These two unsung radio pioneers established the first radio station in America in their unassuming garage. On Air follows their untold love story, and how radio became a constant companion, messenger and soundtrack of our lives over the past century of American life. Matt Conner and Stephen Gregory Smith, the critically acclaimed creative team for Creative Cauldron's past Bold New Work premieres (Turn of the Screw 2015, Monsters of the Villa Diodati 2016, Kaleidoscope 2017, Witch 2018,) are mining the nostalgia of a bygone era and shedding light on a relatively unknown piece of American history with this newest work.
