The performance art piece Fragments, a live audio story concludes this weekend, with performances on Saturday, May 15th, and Sunday, May 16th, at 6:00pm and 7:30pm on both days.

On this day in 2006, the hilarious new musical The Drowsy Chaperone opened at Broadway's Marquis Theatre!

Fragments will play Saturdays and Sundays at 6:00pm and 7:30pm, on May 1-2, May 8-9, and May 15-16, at Liberated Fitness (1005 Columbus Avenue). In accordance with New York State guidelines, all performances will accommodate socially distanced seating at a maximum of 10 people per performance.

Featuring a stunning array of live dance, video projections, original composition, and a timeless story, Fragments has been adapted in accordance with current New York State health guidelines.

 The original Broadway and London casts of The Drowsy Chaperone have reunited in song for a virtual fundraiser! The performers came together to sing 'As We Stumble Along (Reprise)'.

The 2019 WATCH Award winners were announced on April 4th, 2020. The ceremony was canceled due to the current health crisis, but the announcement was published online. 

Berkeley-based Dana Lawton Dances has rescheduled its evening-length performance, The Farallonites, at The Cowell Theater at Fort Mason the weekend of April 24-26 to November 5-7.

BroadwayWorld was saddened to report that Broadway veteran Merwin Foard recently passed away at 59 years old. Born September 16, 1960 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, Foard was last seen on Broadway in Aladdin as a standby for Jafar/Sultan.

Berkeley-based Dana Lawton Dances will present an evening-length performance, The Farallonites, at The Cowell Theater at Fort Mason the weekend of April 24-26. This multi-disciplinary enterprise will feature original musical scores, ambient sounds, spoken word, and projections of original art work not only as a means of underscoring and supporting what happens onstage, but to palpably transport the audience to a different place and time.

So, I saw this show when it was premiered in movie theaters and it had an incredible impact on me. How has this show affected you?
