Beloved cabaret duo KT Sullivan and Jeff Harnar bring their special brand of magic to The Laurie Beechman Theatre with their Sheldon Harnick/Charles Strouse show and the full house on opening night ate it up. And then some.

Liz Callaway, Judy Kuhn, Steven Skybell, Alexandra Silber, Carolyn Montgomery, Jeffrey Saver, and Rhyn McLemore Saver will join The American Songbook Association as they present their second annual gala a?oeTo Life! Celebrating Sheldon Harnick,a?? on Monday, September 16 at 7:30 PM. 

In a combined triumph for the Classic Popular Songbook, its purveyors and adherents, and the professionalism and perseverance of THE MABEL MERCER FOUNDATION, that unique organization presents its 30th Annual New York Cabaret Convention at The Rose Theater, Jazz at Lincoln Center, beginning Monday, October 28th and running through Thursday, October 31st. The four individual concerts will be offered at 6:00 PM each evening, and more than seventy-five vocalists and musicians are scheduled to perform. Tickets are on sale at the Jazz at Lincoln Center box office and www.jazz.org starting today, Monday, September 9.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present singer/actress Klea Blackhurst with a brand new solo show, “One Of The Girls,” a tribute to Jerry Herman.

KT Sullivan & Jeff Harner returned to The Laurie Beechman Theater last night with a new show celebrating two living legends of Broadway, Sheldon Harnick and Charles Strouse. The show is Directed by Broadway legend Sondra Lee, with critically-acclaimed Music Director Jon Weber.

A group of cabaret newcomers and veterans alike will join Meg Flather on July 14 and September 14 at Don't Tell Mama for MEG FLATHER SONGS: A CABARET SISTERHOOD, performing the work of the MAC and Bistro Award winner.

In 2016, critically acclaimed cabaret performer Dawn Derow revisited her operatic roots and took home a Bistro Award as "Outstanding Vocalist" for LEGIT: A Classical Cabaret. Then in 2017 and 2018, Dawn explored the hit music of the "Greatest Generation" period with her MAC Award-winning ("Best Female Vocalist") MY SHIP: SONGS FROM 1941 (she was also nominated for BroadwayWorld.com Cabaret Awards for "Best Show" and "Best Vocalist"). Now Dawn is ready to prove that you can go home again-musically, that is.

In its 114 year life the Dutch Treat Club has had a membership that included, Jimmy Cagney, George S. Kaufman, Walter Cronkite, Richard Rodgers, Oscar Hammerstein ll, and Presidents Hoover, Eisenhower, Truman, and Ford. The great Broadway producer George Abbot was a member for 52 years when he died at the age of 107. But enough about the past. This year this historic New York City institution which was founded by and for creative people decided to honor someone young, creative and contemporary, so they chose...Marilyn Maye…an artist for every generation.

Bistro, BroadwayWorld, MAC and Margaret Whiting Award winner Celia Berk makes her Birdland Theater to an overflow audience of fans last night.COMES LOVE introduced her new collaboration with pianist Sean Gough. Meeting at an intersection between jazz and cabaret, they created a program of songs about love, including the kinds of hidden gems by great songwriters that have become Celia's trademark. They were joined by Birdland favorite, bassist Steve Doyle .

On April 29 at 7 PM, at the historic and exquisite Church of the Transfiguration, an impressive roster of cabaret celebrities will gather together to celebrate and support the upcoming production of a powerful new off-Broadway play, In the Closet. Offering up selections from their vast repertoires, KT Sullivan, Jeff Harnar, Marieann Meringolo, Billy Stritch, Jon Weber, Eugene Ebner and Doris Dear will, in turn, entertain and enthrall the attendees. The audience will also receive a special glimpse of the new theatrical event as the playwright Siegmund Fuchs introduces actor Paul Page performing a monologue from the work.
