Bistro, BroadwayWorld, MAC and Margaret Whiting Award winner Celia Berk makes her Birdland Theater to an overflow audience of fans last night.COMES LOVE introduced her new collaboration with pianist Sean Gough. Meeting at an intersection between jazz and cabaret, they created a program of songs about love, including the kinds of hidden gems by great songwriters that have become Celia's trademark. They were joined by Birdland favorite, bassist Steve Doyle .
On April 29 at 7 PM, at the historic and exquisite Church of the Transfiguration, an impressive roster of cabaret celebrities will gather together to celebrate and support the upcoming production of a powerful new off-Broadway play, In the Closet. Offering up selections from their vast repertoires, KT Sullivan, Jeff Harnar, Marieann Meringolo, Billy Stritch, Jon Weber, Eugene Ebner and Doris Dear will, in turn, entertain and enthrall the attendees. The audience will also receive a special glimpse of the new theatrical event as the playwright Siegmund Fuchs introduces actor Paul Page performing a monologue from the work.

Due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, Tovah Feldshuh-the acclaimed star of television, stage, and film-has postponed her engagement of Tovah is LEONA! Originally scheduled to take place on June 7 & 8, 2019, the engagement will now take place on Friday, September 20 (8 p.m.) and Saturday, September 21 (8 p.m.). The Manhattan Association of Cabarets (MAC) has announced the 2019 MAC Award nominees. The nominees, in a majority of the categories, were determined by votes cast by the active MAC membership. Special committees selected the nominees in the Ensemble Instrumentalist, Piano Bar Instrumentalist, Piano Bar Singing Entertainer (Female; Male), Recording (LaMott Friedman), Major Recording, Song and Comedy/Novelty Song categories.
