Entering its 37th season of dance this October, Miami City Ballet (MCB) will welcome four new members of its board. Mamie Joeveer (who previously served on MCB's board from 2016-2020) and Eleanor Pao have joined the Board of Directors. Pearl Johnson and Dr. Elissa Kramer have joined the Board of Trustees. Chair Jeff Davis currently leads MCB's board.

Further venues have been announced for the UK and Ireland tour of Bartlett Sher's critically acclaimed and multi award-winning production of Lerner & Loewe's much loved MY FAIR LADY. The sumptuous production will visit Sunderland Empire (1st - 11th February), Bristol Hippodrome (14th - 25th February), Birmingham Hippodrome (8th - 19th March) and finally Manchester Palace (22nd March - 1st April).

Prediction:  for the next few days, everyone will be talking about Hugh Panaro and his mesmerizing solo concert debut here in New York City, at 54 Below.  What took so long? Who Knows.  But that doesn’t matter anymore because his two-day run on October 5th and 6th is totally sold out, which means he’ll be back and, surely, be exporting this all over the country, to London, Canada, and Australia, where audiences love exactly what he is giving them- BROADWAY, and plenty of it, but through the singular lens of his career. 

Today, The Old Vic and ZooNation: The Kate Prince Company, in association with Sadler’s Wells, announce the highly anticipated world premiere of the hip hop musical Sylvia, directed and choreographed by Kate Prince and starring Beverley Knight as Emmeline Pankhurst

Whitmer Thomas releases a video for “Stick Around,” the fourth and final single from his forthcoming Jay Som-produced album The Older I Get The Funnier I Was. The track showcases Thomas’ dexterity as a songwriter, which is in full display on The Older I Get The Funnier I Was, conjuring Bright Eyes alongside the storytelling of John Prine.

An official music video premieres at YouTube. “Strike Gold” marks the latest single from Larkin Poe’s upcoming sixth studio album, Blood Harmony, arriving via their own Tricki-Woo Records. Goodspeed Musicals has announced the cast for the world premiere of Christmas in Connecticut – A New Musical. The holiday-themed musical comedy that is sure to delight audiences will run from Nov. 18 – Dec. 30 at The Goodspeed.

HBO Max has given a series order for the new comedy HOW TO BE A BOOKIE, from Emmy® nominees Chuck Lorre (“The Kominsky Method,” “The Big Bang Theory”), Nick Bakay (“Mom,” “Young Sheldon”), and Warner Bros. Television. Actor/comedian Sebastian Maniscalco (“The Irishman,” “Green Book”) is set to star in the single-camera series.
