For those on stage, an opening night can be the stuff of nightmares. In Curtains a?" the acclaimed duo John Kander and Fred Ebb's 2006 musical a?" the nightmare turns real when a lead actor gets murdered right after curtain call. So begins a comedic, entertaining whodunit that is chock-full of showbiz intrigue and backstage drama.

Curtains is a musical mystery comedy with a book by Rupert Holmes, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and music by John Kander, with additional lyrics by Kander and Holmes.

This year's line-up for Christmas with the Stars - the charity Christmas musical theatre concert in Covent Garden in the heart of the West End - is another star-studded musical feast of festive fun.

ebp and Intertalent Rights Group have announced that ventriloquist, comedian and winner of America's Got Talent 2015, Paul Zerdin, will tour the UK with a brand-new show - Paul Zerdin's Puppet Party. Taking in a total of 39 dates, the tour begins at Bedford's Corn Exchange on 18th September 2019 and concludes at London's Duchess Theatre on 25th November 2019. CURTAINS will premiere in London at Wyndham's Theatre, playing 38 performances from 13 December 2019 until 11 January 2020.

Leicester Comedy Festival, the longest running comedy festival in the UK, today launches its packed programme for 2020 with more venues, more talent and more unique events than ever before. The festival will feature over 1,600 performers, performing over 800 shows on more than 90 stages across Leicester & Leicestershire. Further performers have been revealed for Park Theatre's World Premiere murder mystery Whodunnit [Unrehearsed], as Adam Hills, Jason Manford, Neil Morrissey, Clarke Peters and Sandi Toksvig - with the voice of Miriam Margolyes - join the stellar list of participants. Every night, a different guest performer will step onstage to join the rehearsed ensemble of a scripted murder mystery play, having attended no rehearsals, read no script, nor received any direction. Armed only with a hidden earpiece to receive instructions, they will endeavour to solve the crime in real time.
