Today, the Metropolitan Opera announced its 2020-21 season, the first in which Yannick Nézet-Séguin assumes his full breadth of musical duties as the company's Jeanette Lerman-Neubauer Music Director, conducting six productions. Grote winnaar is Lazarus, met vier awards. ANASTASIA ontving de AD Publieksprijs voor Beste Musical 2019 en Soldaat van Oranje - De Musical ontving uit handen van Prof. Mr. Pieter van Vollenhoven de Award voor Unieke Prestatie. De musical Lazarus, die in oktober afgelopen jaar in première ging, ontving onder anderen de awards voor Beste Grote Musical en Beste Regie.

In 7 performances the previous week, West Side Story broke the record (with a gross of $1,497,319) held by Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella ($1,479,889.97, established on 12/29/13, for an 8-performance week).
