Protect the Culture, a new label founded by respected music industry veteran and entrepreneur Marc Byers, has entered into a worldwide joint venture with Warner Records. Byers will also serve as an A&R consultant for Warner Records. He will work closely with Steve Carless, President of A&R and Karen Kwak, EVP/Head of A&R.

The Art of Laughter 2023 will continue through the summer with more side-splitting headliners. The series is presented in collaboration with The Comedy Zone on the first Friday of every month.

Sam Pounds released “Closer”, his interpretation of the well-loved track originally by Kings of Leon. This release comes via The Penthouse South/Sumerian Records in a line of covers Sam has made his own including those by Palaye Royale and Bad Omens as well as original tracks “Preacher’s Daughter” and “She Get It From Her Mama”.

Greenfield co-wrote the script and will also produce alongside Jason Benoit, with XYZ Films producing and financing with investment funding coming from IPR.VC. Lee Kim of Resolute Films and Entertainment is also producing. XYZ will handle world sales and introduce the film to buyers at the upcoming Marché du Film in Cannes.

The fully renovated State Theatre New Jersey will present Two Funny Mamas Live featuring Sherri Shepherd & Kym Whitley on Friday, May 19 at 8pm. Tickets range from $39-$59.
