On Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 7:30PM, Medeski Martin & Wood's Billy Martin -- a long-time Bergen County resident -- will perform another solo set utilizing percussion instruments, found objects, voice, flutes, bird calls, and more at The Black Box Performing Arts Center, 49 East Palisade Ave between Grand Ave and Dean Street. 

Stu Brooks - who is a co-founder of Dub Trio - has a list of collaborations and has shared the stage or the studio with everyone from Academy® Award winner Lady Gaga, Danny Elfman, Lauryn Hill, 50 Cent, and Mary J. Blige to Mike Patton, Pretty Lights, Mark Guiliana, Slick Rick, and even a posthumous recording for Tupac Shakur.  

The record was mixed by John Congleton (Swans, St. Vincent, Wye Oak) and mastered by Greg Obis (Alabaster Deplume, Cloud Nothings). The group experimented with two different drum setups, eventually blending the two within a single song. The record builds on Blessed’s commitment to creativity. Plus, check out upcoming tour dates!

Blessed deliver everchanging depth and expansion to their craft - resulting in a sweeping, hyperreal, industrial art-rock tragedy.

For Golden Days, Sam Himself reunited with his longtime producer and ‘Second Beatle’, Daniel Schlett (Iggy Pop; The War on Drugs), whose mis was mastered by Greg Calbi (David Bowie; Bruce Springsteen). Sam’s studio collaborator of many years, bass player JD Werner (Ghostface Killah; Lee “Scratch” Perry), added to the musical composition.

The single, like the rest of the EP, was written and produced by Brooks. It follows “Sound The Alarm,” which features Patrick Stump and was the first bit of music Brooks revealed off of The 40HZ, and his first for Dine Alone. In addition to Stump and Moore the EP will also feature guest appearances by Jason Aalon Butler, and Paul Leary.

Recorded at her flat and Invada Studios, CACTI is a huge step up for the artist, who received widespread critical acclaim for her eponymous 2020 debut album, with heavy airplay across BBC Radio 6 Music and support from luminaries such as Iggy Pop, Florence Welch and Steve Albini. The Chats have been touring throughout 2022 playing in front of huge crowds across many countries and are now proud to embark on their 2023 UK tour dates with a headline show at Brixton’s 02 Academy in London - their largest show to date. Next year’s tour will also visit venues in Ireland, France, Belgium, Sweden, and Norway.

The 21-track project is comprised of collaborations and guest vocal features from a sprawling array of artists including Trent Reznor, Iggy Pop, HEALTH, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, Zach Hill of Death Grips, Xiu Xiu, Squarepusher, Ghostemane and many more. With the help of his collaborators Stu Brooks and Berit Gwendolyn Gilma.
