Redhouse Artistic Director, Hunter Foster, has announced his inaugural, 2019-20 Main Stage Season featuring several Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning productions, packed with heart, humanity, and humor, and sure to delight audiences of all ages. The theme of the season will be 'the exploration of family and how its different forms navigate the spectrum of the American experience.' Hunter Foster, who was named '2018 Director of the Year' by the Wall Street Journal, will oversee all aspects of the entire season including, budgeting, casting, directing and more. Redhouse audiences will be treated to a much more immersive theatre experience as Foster plans to utilize the versatility of the theatres to create different audience configurations including a 'thrust space' and 'theatre in the round.' Producers Suzanne Gilad & Larry Rogowsky are pleased to announce that Jane Bruce (Jagged Little Pill) and Cathryn Wake (Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812) will join the cast of the critically-acclaimed musical comedy THE OTHER JOSH COHEN now playing at the Westside Theatre (407 W 43rd St). Jane joins the cast tonight, Tuesday, January 29, taking over the roles played by original cast member Kate Wetherhead. Cathryn begins performances on Tuesday, February 5, taking over for Hannah Elless who departs the production on February 3. Megan Loomis (The Dead 1904) joins the cast as the female standby. Following the record-breaking box-office success of "Million Dollar Quartet," Bucks County Playhouse will present for the third time its signature production of "Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story" beginning Friday, February 8 through Sunday, March 3. The Playhouse's Executive Producer Robyn Goodman, Producing Director Alexander Fraser and Producers Stephen Kocis and Joshua Fiedler announced final casting for the production, that will once again be directed by Hunter Foster (BCP's "Million Dollar Quartet" and "42nd Street"), and choreographed by Lorin Latarro (Broadway's "Waitress"), both of whom are also Bucks County Playhouse Artistic Associates. Jed Bernstein, Producing Director of Theatre Aspen, announced today that Yasmina Reza's Tony Award-winning play God of Carnage, directed by Karen Azenberg (Artistic Director of Salt Lake City's largest non-profit, Pioneer Theatre Company) will round out the 2019 Summer Season. God of Carnage joins the previously announced Tony Award-winning musical Guys and Dolls, directed by Tony Award nominee Hunter Foster and choreographed by Lisa Shriver, Little Shop of Horrors, directed by Carbonell Award winner Mark Martino, and the Theatre Aspen Summer Conservatory's student production of The Wizard of Oz, all at the Hurst Theatre.
