Blue13 Dance Company presents SHAADI, an interactive Indian wedding, on the private grounds and Victorian mansions of the Heritage Square Museum September 17th and 18th. The audience will participate in the celebratory nuptials partaking of provided drinks, music and a DJ. Had the chance to chat with Blue13’s Founder/artistic director Achinta S. The tentative plans are to open up the theatres for live performances in the near future. 'The Jerry Moss Plaza' was created to present outstanding dance performances this summer, in a beautiful setting, culture, abounding all around, and the intense longing to see live and electrifying performances of hope, beauty and talented visionaries. There is a beautiful stage erected in the middle of the Plaza facing west, so as the sun was setting behind the stage, the performance began. No disappointments whatsoever with this third and final offering with Alonzo King's LINES Ballet Company. Indeed, the talent, the expertise and the intent of this stellar dance company is incomparable! The technique of every member of the company, with every movement they make, will fill you with awe. Stunning flexibility, extension, ballon, reach, strength, endurance, passion and fluidity is masterfully executed.

In celebrating the reopening of Los Angeles and the easing of public health restrictions, The Music Center has expanded the footprint for its outdoor performance series called Dance at Dusk, part of Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at The Music Center, doubling the current seating capacity for guests on its Jerry Moss Plaza.

The Music Center will welcome back limited audiences in a safe manner to enjoy live performances with a new outdoor series called Dance at Dusk.

The Actors Fund and affordable housing developer Thomas Safran & Associates, broke ground on The Hollywood Arts Collective, a $120 million project that will include 151 units of affordable housing for artists, the Glorya Kaufman Theater, rehearsal studios, non-profit arts office space and a new home for The Actors Fund Western Region Headquarters.

The Music Center today announced it received a $25 million gift from Tina and Jerry Moss to benefit new programming initiatives. With this gift, the arts organization will establish an annual, free summer concert, open to all, to be held outdoors on the newly named Jerry Moss Plaza, located at The Music Center; sustain and enhance The Music Center's commitment to free and low-cost events; and formally launch arts partnerships with community organizations to help uplift artists and their work, with an emphasis on Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC ) artists.

The Harkness Dance Center announces a new Artist Workshop Series of online master classes with current and former Artists in Residence, featured choreographers and presented performers. Workshops take place every other Saturday throughout the fall starting on Saturday, September 26, offering access to some of the most engaging, insightful, and motivational artists currently creating work in the dance world.
