The genesis of electronic duo BEAUTIFUL MACHINES’ new single 'Baum Baum,” out today, began in Berlin one winter on a three-month writing hiatus, during which time, Stefanie Ku and Conrad Schuman of the duo visited the famed Hansa Studios (Bowie, U2, Iggy Pop, Nick Cave, Depeche Mode).

Beginning with band work in the UK, moving on to a wide range of experience as a session singer. Her first label signing was with disco king Giorgio Moroder in Munich, Germany in 1976, this included a single release called “Dr Funk (with Smiley)” plus a session for Giorgio on one of his own disco hits “I Wanna Funk with you Tonight.”

Inspired by Prince’s ‘Purple Rain’, the skyscraper ballad delivers Todrick’s most spine-tingling and emotional vocal performance yet, over large rock drums and duelling electric guitars. Co-written by Todrick with producer Jeeve (who has worked with Giorgio Moroder and Nicole Scherzinger), ‘Breath’ is about an undying love in a toxic relationship.

Summer is coming to West Palm Beach at last with SUMMER: The Donna Summer Musical making its premiere engagement at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts May 20-26.

Highlighted by fluorescent synths and Todrick’s rich soulful vocals, ‘Dance Forever’ is the glittery descendent of Prince and The Revolution’s Purple Rain album and Patti Labelle’s ‘New Attitude’. The track is produced by Jeeve, who has worked with Giorgio Moroder and produced Todrick’s 2021 album Femuline.

The North American Tour of SUMMER: The Donna Summer Musical will make its Dallas premiere at the Winspear Opera House April 26-May 1.

Duran Duran have announced two British warm-up shows at the 02 Academy Leicester for May 21st and 22nd. The performances will lead into a series of huge headline dates across the UK and Europe for summer 2022 and offer fans a rare chance to see the stadium-filling icons of British music in an intimate setting.

The American Theatre Guild will present the North American Tour of SUMMER: The Donna Summer Musical. This production is part of the BROADWAY IS BACK IN THOUSAND OAKS SERIES and will take the Bank of America Performing Arts Center stage May 12–15, 2022.

The new song from the Shreveport, Louisiana-based band – fronted by the gospel-trained powerhouse frontwoman and activist A.J. Haynes – follows previously released tracks “Good Day,” “Two of a Kind” and “Dark Matter.'' “Pleasure” continues Seratones’ unexpected fusion of disco-indebted vocals and buoyant synth rhythms.

And while that is one of the true musical highlights of Summer – The Donna Summer Musical, it also focuses attention on the fact that the musical itself – or, rather, its problematic book – often seems unable to figure out how to focus the spotlight on its heroine. Taking a non-linear pathway through the story of the diva’s life, Summer – The Donna Summer Musical is oftentimes confusing and sometimes perplexing, despite the fact that the musical score (attributed to Summer, Giorgio Moroder, Paul Jabara and “others” in the playbill) is wonderfully entertaining and certain to unleash a flood of memories for audience members of a certain vintage.

Sebastian Maniscalco has celebrated heights in live entertainment only a few comedians ever achieve. A string of record-breaking, sold-out arena shows include a comedy record for Chicago's United Center with 21,286, the highest gross for a single event at Boston's TD Garden and a historic four show run at Madison Square Garden breaking the record for most comedy shows sold in a weekend for the venue.

In addition to the almost sold-out Friday, May 6 show, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts announced it has added a second show for Sebastian Maniscalco's Nobody Does This Tour on Saturday, May 7 at the Walt Disney Theater.

Following the release of their recent single 'Control,' electronic duo BEAUTIFUL MACHINES have now released the driving and urgent 'Survive,' the latest offering from their upcoming album Singularity. The new single is out today via Republic Of Music. The band have also been announced as support or OMD's upcoming German tour, kicking off in July.

The three band members met several years ago on Broadway during the production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Michael C. Hall is a musical talent and a longstanding Broadway performer, having played leading roles in Chicago, Cabaret, Hedwig and was selected by David Bowie to star in his musical, Lazarus.

Today, DURAN DURAN release the deluxe version of their fantastic new album ‘FUTURE PAST’ on TAPE MODERN via BMG. Previously released physically, and now available digitally for the first time, the deluxe offering of ‘FUTURE PAST’ includes three additional songs: ‘LAUGHING BOY,’ ‘VELVET NEWTON,’ and ‘INVOCATION’.

Summer is coming to Baltimore this winter with SUMMER: The Donna Summer Musical, making its premiere engagement at the historic Hippodrome Theatre at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center February 15-20, 2022 for eight performances.
