This past month, I had the opportunity to speak with Tim Dolan, the owner of Broadway Up Close, a company of storytellers who share stories to help visitors get a closer look at the world of Broadway. There are three different components that make up Broadway Up Close - Tours, gifts, and workshops. The tours are given both in-person and virtually, going over a range of different topics related to Broadway.

 Stephen DeAngelis continues his ongoing salute to Broadway and Off-Broadway Standbys, Understudies and Alternates with the next edition of At This Performance…™ to be held on Monday, December 13th  at The Green Room 42, Green Fig, Fourth Floor, Yotel NYC, 570 Tenth Avenue (at 42nd Street), New York, NY 10036 at 7 PM. 

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade returns this year for its traditional in-person celebration, following last year's made-for-TV edition due to COVID-19. BroadwayWorld was there for the first day of rehearsals for the big day, and you can check out the photos here!

Lizzie is a rock opera that reimagines the story behind the infamous Lizzie Borden — the primary suspect for the brutal murder of her father and stepmother in 1892 — with a cast of four powerhouse women, a quartet of Nashville’s best-known young actors who bring the characters to life under the direction of Leslie Marberry, who makes her STC directorial debut.

Throughout the week, the show featured performances by Jeremy Jordan and the cast of off-Broadway's Little Shop of Horrors, Adrienne Warren, Ben Platt, the queens of Six, and Lindsay Pearce and Ginna Claire Mason of Wicked.

It's Broadway Week on The Tonight Show! Throughout the week, the show celebrated Broadway's return during each episode. To close out the exciting week, Lindsay Pearce and Ginna Claire Mason of Wicked stopped by to perform a medley of Popular and The Wizard and I.

Broadway's wonderful Wicked has made its highly anticipated return to the stage of the Gershwin Theatre!

Last night, Wicked was one of four beloved musicals to resume performances on Broadway, following a 18-month hiatus. To celebrate the occasion, composer Stephen Schwartz and original Glinda, Kristin Chenoweth, were on hand at the Gershwin Theatre. Watch as Kristin speaks to the crowd, the cast performs their opening number, and takes their first bows since March 2020.

Good news! Broadway's wonderful Wicked has made its highly anticipated return to the stage of the Gershwin Theatre. Composer Stephen Schwartz was in attendance at tonight's performance and joined the company for opening night bows, as was original Glinda, Kristin Chenoweth, who made a pre-show speech. The Today Show anchors celebrated the return of Broadway as they each attended the opening nights of Wicked, Hamilton, and The Lion King. As each attended an opening night, they spoke to the stars of each show before curtain.

Wicked took over the Today Show plaza this morning to celebrate their return to Broadway! Elphaba standby Jennifer DiNoia and Fiyero himself, Sam Gravitte, stopped by to perform 'As Long As You're Mine.'
