Crown City Theatre Company (William A. Reilly and Gary Lamb, Artistic Directors) has announced a new production of The Legend of Georgia McBride by Matthew Lopez, directed and choreographed by Michael J. Marchak. The show will play two preview performances on Friday, November 22, and Saturday, November 23, at 8pm and is set to open on Sunday, November 24, at 3pm. The engagement will run through February 9, 2020.
William A. Reilly has been co-producer/ co-artistic director of Crown City Theatre going on 22 years. Crown has been located at St. Matthew's Church in NoHo for almost 12 years. April 1 the company must leave, as St Matthew's has received a grant to make the spaces a homeless shelter. Reilly sat down recently and talked about what the group will do as they look to the future. Close local spaces are being investigated as rentals until a new permanent space is relegated.

A group of strangers is stranded in a boarding house during a snow storm, one of whom is a murderer. Suspects include the newly married couple who run the house, a spinster with a curious background, an architect who seems better equipped to be a chef, a retired Army major, a strange little man who claims his car has overturned in a drift, and a jurist who makes life miserable for everyone. Into their midst comes a policeman, traveling on skis. He probes the background of everyone present, and rattles a lot of skeletons.
