Parson's Nose Presents MARK TWAIN AND FRIENDS: A RIVER JOURNEY ImageParson's Nose Theater (PNT), the acclaimed, Los Angeles' professional, classical comedy theater company, kicks off their 2018-19 season with "Mark Twain and Friends: A River Journey. This is an original play by Los Angeles playwright and actor, Greg White. The production is partly sponsored by the City of Pasadena Cultural Affairs Department. It begins the second season in their new home, an intimate, historic chapel designed by esteemed Pasadena architects Marston and Van Pelt in 1911.

"Mark Twain returns from The Beyond to introduce some of the characters he met in his travels," explains Director, Gary Lamb. "This is a wonderful, family-friendly piece that goes deep into very topical subjects such as prejudice, religion, and education, with Twain's signature humor and pathos.

The production stars the PNT Company, featuring Paul Perri as Mark Twain. Paul will be seen as Trent Lott in the upcoming film, Vice, with Christian Bale. He has played in dozens of films and TV shows, including The Insider, Manhunter, Demolition Man, Rizzoli & Isles, Prison Break, Grey's Anatomy, and The West Wing to name a few. He made his Broadway debut with Ireni Papas in The Bacchae, replaced John Malkovich in Burn This, and appeared in Broadway productions of A View From the Bridge and Macbeth.

The cast of Mark Twain and Friends: A River Journey includes Louis Baker as Jim; Heather Taylor as Huck; James Calvert as Miss Watson and The Duke; Lance Davis as The Undertaker and The King; Barry Gordon as Pap and Scotty; John Harnagel as Bixby; Stuart Orloff as Sam; Jill Rogosheske as The Blue Jay Woman, and Greg White as Blaine. Directed by Gary Lamb. Set by Gary Lamb, Paul Perri and Jen Orsini. Costumes by Michael Mullen.

Parson's Nose Theater presents Mark Twain and Friends: A River Journey. Preview: October 19, Runs: October 20 - November 18, 2018. Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 3pm.
