Friday, July 19, AMC's Ridley Scott-produced anthology series, The Terror: Infamy released the new trailer at San Diego Comic Con following a panel with series stars, George Takei (who also serves as a series consultant), Derek Mio, Kiki Sukezane and Cristina Rodlo, and co-creators and executive producers, Alexander Woo (True Blood) and Max Borenstein (Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla). The Terror: Infamy premieres on Monday, August 12 at 9:00pm ET/8:00pm CT on AMC.

The Old Globe today announced the complete company and creative team for the Pam Farr Summer Shakespeare Studio, named for the Globe Board member whose generosity supports a four-week program for rising 9th - 12th grade students and recent high school graduates to develop foundational skills for reading, interpreting, and performing Shakespeare's plays, and to cultivate their own artistic voice through storytelling and creating original material.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is extending invitations to join the organization to 842 artists and executives who have distinguished themselves by their contributions to theatrical motion pictures. The 2019 class is 50% women, 29% people of color, and represents 59 countries. Those who accept the invitations will be the only additions to the Academy's membership in 2019.

Celebrating the song as “a gorgeous meditation on picking the road not taken,” Marissa Moss, writing for Rolling Stone, notes that the track “highlights the songwriter's pristine voice.' The song, a mid-tempo burn framed with dense violins and tremolo guitar, is a sweet ode to a carved out life together; imperfect, but adaptive and free. Nickelodeon has renewed some of the biggest hits in preschool TV: PAW Patrol, Bubble Guppies, Abby Hatcher and Butterbean's Café. The renewals—a seventh season of PAW Patrol, a fifth season of Bubble Guppies and second seasons of Abby Hatcher and Butterbean's Café—are part of the network's new content slate and ever-expanding powerful preschool portfolio. Nickelodeon is currently home to nine of the top 10 preschool shows on all TV, including number-one ranked PAW Patrol. Year to date, Nick is the number-one basic cable network for Kids 2-5, Kids 2-11 and Kids 6-11.

Theater Latte Da (TLD) announces the slate of artists and projects for this summer's NEXT FESTIVAL. Three dynamic new works from Isabella Dawis and Tidtaya Sinutoke, Dylan Thomas, Cerys Matthews and Mason Neely , David Simpatico and Michael Holland will each receive workshops and public presentations beginning Saturday, July 6.

In 1943, during the Second World War, top Hollywood director William Wyler went to Europe to document the air war in progress. Wyler and his crew flew actual combat missions on B-17s in extremely dangerous conditions. Incredibly, the entirety of the raw color footage Wyler and his team shot for the documentary 'The Memphis Belle: A Story of a Flying Fortress' was recently discovered in the vaults of the National Archives. After a meticulous frame-by-frame restoration, director Erik Nelson ('Dreams with Sharp Teeth,' 'A Gray State') has constructed a compelling new documentary out of the material.
