13 Schools Selected for 2021 International Thespian Festival Main Stage

Thirteen schools have been invited to perform on the main stage at the nation’s leading high school theatre festival. The International Thespian Festival takes place June 22-25, 2021, in its all-virtual format. Produced by the Educational Theatre Association, the festival celebrates student achievement in the performing arts.
Applications for 17th Annual Fred Ebb Award Now Available

The Fred Ebb Foundation in association with the Roundabout Theatre Company announced today that applications for the seventeenth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters are now available. Applications will be accepted from June 1 - June 30, 2021. The winner will be selected in November of 2021.
Way Off Broadway Opens 2021 with CLUE: ON STAGE

The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre will kick of its 2021 Season in January with the ultimate who dunnit? – Clue: On Stage. The theatre began working with Broadway Licensing, the show’s licensing agent in New York, nearly two years ago to obtain the rights to produce a production of the new play based on the hilarious ‘80s motion picture.

Florida Rep has announced a whole slate of digital offerings as its Fall 2020 Virtual Season. The fall season includes the Stage@Home Virtual Talkback Series (through Oct. 30), the 2020 Virtual PlayLab Festival (Nov. 5-Dec. 11), and a streaming production of 'Clue' starring the theatre's ensemble of professional actors (Oct. 29-Nov. 1).
THE ADDAMS FAMILY and CLUE Take Top Spots in Most-Produced Shows in Schools

According to the annual school play survey conducted by the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA), The Addams Family, Clue, and Check Please received top billing for the most produced musical, full-length play, and short play, respectively, during the 2019-20 school year, which was cut short by the closures required by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This MT Space Announces Self-Tape Intensive with Lindsay Levine

Last month, composer and lyricist team Will Reynolds and Eric Price launched This MT Space, an online education platform, with two Zoom-based classes. 'Filling the Page' taught musical theatre writing and 'Filling the Gaps' was focused on career-building and featured conversations with Patti Murin, Aisha Jackson, Jeremy Jordan and more.
