Yorgos Lanthimos’ highly anticipated new film, Bleat—the second work to be commissioned as part of the Greek National Opera (GNO) and NEON program The Artist on the Composer—will have its world premiere accompanied by live music ensembles on Friday, May 6, Saturday, May 7, and Sunday, May  8,  2022.

The Greek National Opera (GNO) will present a revival of its 2012 production of Charles Gounod’s Faust with eight performances April 6 through 17. The production, which premiered in 2012 at Megaron–The Athens Concert Hall, will be presented at the Stavros Niarchos Hall for the first time, conducted by Pierre Dumoussaud and directed by Renato Zanella. 

Last night, the winners were announced for the 79th Annual Golden Globe Awards. Among this year's winners were Rachel Zegler and Ariana DeBose for West Side Story, MJ Rodriguez from Pose, and Andrew Garfield for tick, tick...BOOM!

Cynthia Erivo, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Emerald Fennell, and Sarah Jessica Parker, have been inducted into the Variety 500 list. Previous members of the list include Lin-Manuel Miranda, Billy Porter, Hugh Jackman, Emma Stone, Nicole Kidman, Viola Davis, James Corden, Jim Parsons, Sam Mendes, and more.

Films such as West Side Story, tick, tick...BOOM!, Cyrano, Encanto, and In the Heights were recognized this morning by the Hollywood Foreign Press. Nominees also included Peter Dinklage, Denzel Washington, Cynthia Erivo, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ewan McGregor, Uzo Aduba, Aaron Sorkin, Hannah Waddingham, Steve Martin, Martin Short, and more.

The categories for the ceremony were completely voted for by fan, honoring the best of movies, television, music, and social media. Halle Berry, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Kim Kardashian West, and Christina Aguilera were honored with icon awards. Winners also included Scarlett Johansson, BTS, Cruella, The Voice, Selena Gomez, JoJo Siwa, and more.

Nominations for the 2021 People's Choice Award include Anthony Ramos for 'In the Heights', Jennifer Hudson for 'Respect', 'Cinderella', Britney Spears, Olivia Rodrigo, Kandi Burruss, Lisa Rinna, Emily Blunt, Emma Stone for 'Cruella', Wandavision, Only Murders in the Building, Sterling K. I have to say, I'm not a huge fan of the live action wave that has been sweeping the movie industry for the last few years. I have so much attachment to the original Disney cartoons from watching them countless times as a child that I can't seem to fairly judge or appreciate the new takes on these classic stories. That being said, I couldn't resist seeing Emma Stone tackle one of the bougiest villains to hit the silver screen, Cruella de Vil. I was greatly looking forward to seeing the arc of her villain origin story, as well as hitting the movie theatre for the first time since the pandemic began. That being said, after the movie was finished, I was just... confused? Let's jump into some of my most pressing thoughts, but reader beware, spoilers lie ahead.

The film is directed by Craig Gillespie, with screenplay by Dana Fox and Tony McNamara, story by Aline Brosh McKenna and Kelly Marcel & Steve Zissis, based upon the novel “The One Hundred and One Dalmatians” by Dodie Smith.
