POEFEST Presents 3 Poevocative Weekends Of Ghostly Stories!

WRITE OUT LOUD, an organization founded in 2007 with a commitment to inspire, challenge and entertain by reading literature aloud for a live audience announces the Second Annual San Diego PoeFest, running from October 11th - 27th at the historic Adobe Chapel in Old Town, San Diego. PoeFest is produced by Write Out Loud in partnership with Save Our Heritage Organisation. 

BWW Review: Duffy Hudson Inhabits the Essence of EDGAR ALLAN POE The Master of the Macabre

Hudson emerged from the darkness as himself with nary a trace of his Poe essence to be seen. Soon he opened the suitcase placed on the stage and as he shared how his adoration of Poe's work began, he transformed himself before our eyes into the Master of the Macabre in all his glory. And by the time Poe's signature long black coat graced his frame, the actor was no longer there and before us stood the physical essence of Edgar Allan Poe.

Pontine Theatre Presents THE HOUSE OF THE SEVEN GABLES

The Cooping Theory 1969: An Immersive Paranormal Experience. Conceived and directed by Aaron Salazar, this new spellbinding production is the only story-driven, multi-room immersive experience in the heart of Times Square and features a book by Nate Raven (who also co-directs), original score by Manuel Pelayo & Giancarlo Bonfanti with additional material by Edgar Allan Poe.  Previews begin Monday, August 19that RPM Underground, 244 West 54th St. between 8th Avenue and Broadway. Penn Jillette Lends Voice To STORMY WEATHER At Rave Theater Festival

Famed magician and television personality Penn Jillette will be lending his voice to STORMY WEATHER, a ferocious new comedy written by Michael MacKenzie Wills and Directed by Jacob Demlow, that will be making its world premiere in a limited engagement run August 12 a?" 25 as part of the Rave Theater Festival at the Teatro Latea Theater, at the Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center, 107 Suffolk Street, 2nd Floor. In the play, Mr Jillette takes on the role of a weather announcer who alerts residents in the Fire Island Pines about an impending storm.
