The 2022 Adelaide Writers' Week, the third and final from Director Jo Dyer, features some of Australia's most interesting and erudite minds – including a few Zooming in from afar – who all come ready to contribute their most insightful and provocative ideas to think not just of the bigger picture, but of A Better Picture.

Dylan Thomas's masterpiece UNDER MILK WOOD: a play for voices, will be presented by the Extended Run Players of the University of the Incarnate Word on Friday, October 22 at 7 pm and Saturday October 23 at 2 pm. Performances are in the recital hall, Seddon Hall, in the University's music building.

Launching today, the Young Vic and Joshua Andrews' production of Tennessee Williams' timeless masterpiece A Streetcar Named Desire featuring Gillian Anderson as Blanche DuBois, Ben Foster as Stanley and Vanessa Kirby as Stella, the NT's recent production of Dylan Thomas' Under Milk Wood with Michael Sheen and Nadia Fall's verbatim play Home that explores homelessness in the UK featuring Michaela Coel.

This year, instead of performing in one location, Theatre Calgary is taking their show across the city with the aptly named: 'Shakespeare on the Go'. Throughout the month of August, a rotating cast of three actors are set to perform in various locations, including The Public Library, Heritage Park, and Lougheed House.

Theatre Calgary, in partnership with The Shakespeare Company and Hit + Myth Productions,  will bring Shakespeare by the Bow back this year, but with a twist, as they present Shakespeare on the Go!

It took 20 years of laborious work to put the final touches on the personalities of fictional Llareggub. Alcohol poisoning might have taken Thomas’s life before he heard his drinking - and acting - mate Richard Burton’s take on BBC Radio in 1954, a year after his sudden demise.
