PREMIERES NYC has announced the expansion of its bi-annual commissioning series INNER VOICES with the New York premiere production of Los Otros, a musical in one act with book & lyrics by Tony Award nominee Ellen Fitzhugh (Grind, Paradise Found) and music by five-time Tony Award nominee Michael John LaChiusa (The Wild Party, Giant). 

This spring, Porchlight Music Theatre presents the winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Spring Awakening, at The Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N Dearborn St., April 23 - May 29, music by Duncan Sheik, book and lyrics by Steven Sater and based on the 1891 German play Spring Awakening by Frank Wedekind.

59E59 Theaters has announced the casts of Whisper House and The Collision / The Martyrdom. Whisper House, presented by The Civilians, will reopen Theater A and begin previews on January 11, 2022, with opening night set for January 20 for a limited run through February 6, 2022.

The Civilians has announced programming for its 20th anniversary season which includes a return to in-person events. The season, running December 13, 2021 – June 6, 2022, celebrates the vital and necessary human connections that have made The Civilians thrive for two decades.

59E59 Theaters has announced their return to in-person programming in January 2022, including their Winter 2022 Season and the launch of the VOLT Festival in Spring 2022.

An HBO documentary following the making of tonight’s sold-out, one-night-only, reunion concert of Spring Awakening benefitting The Actors Fund, is now in production. Produced by RadicalMedia, the documentary will follow the original stars as they come together for the first time in 15 years.

Rehearsals for the Spring Awakening reunion concert are underway and Steven Sater, who wrote the book and lyrics for the musical, shared a photo of the cast together at last.
