Tony and Emmy Award-winning Broadway producer Dori Berinstein and podcast host/producer & engineer Alan Seales, who last October launched the Broadway Podcast Network (BPN), have announced a new initiative under the Broadway Podcast Network, 'Broadway Together.'

Not even Dee Dee Allen could sing her way out of this one. Deadline reports that out of 'an abundance of caution' production on the Netflix film adaptation of the Tony-nominated musical has stopped.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Zoe Caldwell, four-time Tony Award-winning Broadway actress, died peacefully at the age of 86 at her home in Pound Ridge, New York, on Sunday, February 16, 2020. Broadway Dreams celebrated its 12th annual holiday gala at the St. Regis New York December 9. The event honored Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner Tom Kitt (Next to Normal) as well as Blumenthal Performing Arts President and CEO Tom Gabbard with the foundation's inaugural Founders Award, in recognition of his contributions towards arts education.

The programming was directed by Broadway Dreams Artistic Advisor, Theater Calgary Artistic Director, and Olivier Award nominee Stafford Arima. 

Jo Ellen Pellman has been cast as the lead in the Netflix feature adaptation of the award-winning stage musical The Prom from Ryan Murphy. Pellman has previously appeared on HBO's The Deuce and Amazon's The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan.

Ariana Debose has joined the cast of Ryan Murphy's film adaptation of The Prom, according to Deadline.
