The Jacob Burns Film Center (JBFC), a nonprofit five-screen cinema and education center and one of the most successful suburban art houses in the country, announced today that Dori Berinstein, Stephanie Lynn of Ossining, NY and Michael Lombardi of Chappaqua, NY have been elected to its Board of Directors for a three-year term. The JBFC Board is committed to the growth of the JBFC's pioneering education programs and initiatives that offer a creative approach to visual literacy.

The new Broadway comedy The Prom has announced that a limited number of $40 general rush tickets (including the $2 facility fee) will be available at the Longacre Theatre box office (220 West 48th Street) when it opens for that day's performance(s) beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, October 23, 2018. Tuesday, August 21, the Jacob Burns Film Center (Pleasantville, NY) screened the original 1933 classic King Kong before scheduled to come alive on Broadway this fall. The screening was followed by a Q&A with the Musical Creative Team, including curator Dori Berinstein, director/choreographer Drew McOnie, set & projection designer Peter England, creature designer Sonny Tilders and executive producer Babara Darwall Collins.
