The Directors Company, in association with Jayne Ackley Lynch will present an industry presentation of Everything in the Dim Light, a new play by Jeremy Landon Hays, directed by Hannah Ryan.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Leah Michalos, and Kennedy and John Cogan have announced a private salon presentation of a new play by Anastasia Traina, SEAGULLS ON SULLIVAN STREET.

Tony Award nominee Jeb Brown will join the cast of Beau The Musical when it moves uptown to Out of the Box Theatrics’ new home at St. Luke’s Theatre.

Beau The Musical will transfer to St. Luke’s Theatre with performances beginning October 13 and opening October 27, 2025. Conceived by Douglas Lyons with music by Ethan D. Pakchar and Lyons, the acclaimed show stars Matt Rodin as Ace Baker.

Out of the Box Theatrics has announced the Off-Broadway premiere of Beau the Musical. The production plays June 6 through July 27 at 154 Christopher Street (formerly The New Ohio theater).

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of “True Art,” a sharp and funny tale of ambition, deception, and self-discovery in the high stakes and cutthroat art world, on Monday, December 2, at 7 p.m.

Dangerous: A Noir Musical will receive a developmental workshop presented by The Directors Company next month. There will be two performances on Thursday, October 17, 2pm and Friday, October 18, 2pm.

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report the passing of Tony-nominated costume designer, Michael McDonald. McDonald passed away on September 4 due to complications from a brief illness at the age of 61.

Dorset Theatre Festival has announced that Jayne Atkinson, best known for her Tony Award–nominated roles in The Rainmaker and Enchanted April, will lead the World Premiere of True Art by Jessica Provenz, directed by Michelle Joyner, playing August 21 through September 7, 2024 at the Dorset Playhouse.

Submissions are now open for Cycle 4 of The Next Wave Initiative, the developmental branch of The Directors Company that is committed to amplifying future Black voices in the American theatre.
