The Society for the Preservation of the Great American Songbook is hosting its 2022 Benefactor Gala on Friday, April 29, at 6pm. 

Dick Robinson, Founder of Legends 100.3FM, today announced the upcoming Legends Radio's Benefit Concert for Ukraine. Scheduled for Wednesday, April 13, from 6 to 8 pm, the event will be held in the Abacoa Amphitheater and Green Market, located at 1267 Main Street in downtown Abacoa (33458).

The Society for the Preservation of the Great American Songbook is hosting its 2022 Benefactor Gala on Friday, April 29, at 6 pm. This year's event will be held in a private mansion in Palm Beach and will honor three amazing musical talents.

The years have been extraordinarily kind to Christine Andreas. The timbre and fidelity of her voice, the beauty in her face, and the spirit of her spunky personality, have defied the aging process. So much so that after being in the audience at The Kravis Center last night for her show Piaf- No Regrets (which I have seen several times at different venues), I revisited my observations and photos of her from past engagements. My prior impressions of Christine are as true today as they were then, as Christine enters her 7th decade.

As the old joke goes “he has a face for radio”….Well, Bob Merrill, Legends Radio host and interviewer, also has the face, demeanor, and musicianship to be a vocalist/bandleader. He brought the group Sunnnyside Swing to the Persson Hall at The Kravis Center last night for an evening of hits from The Great American Songbook.

Jill & Rich brought along a special guest vocalist last night.  Talented young (12th Grade) vocalist Annie Matot.  Annie is Dick Robinson’s Society For The Preservation of The Great American Songbook’s Young Artist.

Last night on the Wick stage these celebrated entertainers presented their tribute to Nat King Cole titled “Straighten Up and Fly Right” and it was a masterclass in musical expertise and show biz excitement. 

Continuing the Thursday night special at Table 26, Jill & Rich Switzer brought their Jazz and Pop music to the delight of the dinner crowd at the popular Palm Beach restaurant last night. 

It was a “Love Boat” for (Captain) Rob Russell at the Pelican Cabaret last night as fully vaccinated fans joined in the act to help Mr. Palm Beach celebrate his birthday.  The entertainer and designated spinner of tunes in DIck Robinson’s dugout of Legends Radio Hosts had much to celebrate.  

Rob Russell survived the pandemic and two heart operations this past year so his return to the stage caused a joyous celebration last night at the Pelican Cafe Cabaret.   His Palm Beach fans gave him a standing ovation as they sang “It’s so nice to have you back where you belong” to “Mr. Palm Beach”.  

Continuing its lineup of top-tier cabaret entertainment the Wick Theatre is presenting Clint Holmes in its glamorous supper club.    

After surviving major double heart surgery, Palm Beach County's favorite Master Showman Rob Russell is presenting his first two “live, live, live” concerts next week since “dying twice on the operating table” last December in the Cardiac ICU at JFK Medical Center. 

Friends, Celebrities, Fans, Dick Robinson’s Legends Radio, together with Mo Rocca and the CBS Sunday Morning Show crew were all in the Cabaret Room at The Wick Theater last night for a momentous performance by Marilyn Maye on the occasion of her 93rd Birthday.  It wasn’t only CBS that had its cameras on for the big event. 

And now the Wick Theater has deservedly and symbolically been anointed as one of the most important Cabaret venues by another Marilyn - Marilyn Maye, who without doubt is one of the most towering vocalists in American popular music. She began her 4 night engagement last evening in the Wick Cabaret. (The Wick Theatre will be opening shortly).

Imagine  a night club gig starring  Mel Torme, with Anita O’Day or Ella Fitzgerald as his guest vocalist, and the Oscar Peterson Trio backing them up.  That’s the way it sounded in the Wick Theater’s Cabaret last night as the award winning singer Nicolas King had guest vocalist Veronica Swift and pianist Mike Renzi and trio on the stage with him.  It was a musically sophisticated audience at the dinner tables for this show.. Everyone in the elegant room had reserved well in advance.

Billy Stritch brought the musical elegance of his wildly successful internet show “Billy’s Place” to the glamorous Cabaret Room at The Wick Theatre last night. Miami and Palm Beach celebs turned out for the event as did Billy’s South Florida fans who filled every table in the CDC compliant Cabaret space created by Marilyn Wick.

There has never been a “menu special” more special than the one that Table 26 served up last night. Steve Tyrell one of the most celebrated crooners of American Songbook standards returned to Eddie & Ozzies popular restaurant and brought the excitement, glamour, and great music that used to reign in the legendary Royal Room back to the Palm Beach area. The food at Table 26 has some secret ingredients that stimulate the palate and Steve Tyrell possesses the melodic secret ingredients that stimulate your musical palate.
