Theatre 40 is proud to announce their fall World Premiere production by Leda Siskind, THE SURVEILLANCE TRILOGY.  This is the 2nd show in the 201920 Series at Theatre 40, and also the 2nd play by Siskind, who's acclaimed production of All My Distances Are Far also premiered at Theatre 40 and is now published by Steel Spring Stage Rights.  The show will premiere September 19, 2019.  Casting for The Surveillance Trilogy will begin shortly after they announce the Director.  The production is produced by David Hunt Stafford.

Award-winning musician, artist, activist and actress, Kate Nash has debuted the official music video for her song 'Body Heat.' Created by Kate Nash, Aidan Zamiri and Thomas Silverman -- also featuring her dog Stella -- the intentionally low-budget-feel video was shot in a cabin in the lush Idyllwild forests over-night.

THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG is a farce about a whodunnit that keeps going in spite of itself. It begins at 'funny,' blazes past 'hilarious' and 'side-splitting' straight to 'uproarious,' then ramps it up in Act II. The award-winning script includes slapstick, repetition, mispronunciation, callbacks, prop comedy, crowding, unexpected entrances, pantomime, reversals, costume malfunctions, role switching, overacting, inappropriateness and an astonishing number and variety of spit-takes. The eight cast members are in every way awe-inspiring and terrific. Get it right and go to THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG. Being left out of the fun would be an awful shame.

The play is a comedy, but it has depth and substance.

Fathom Events partners with Fox Searchlight Pictures for the theatrical debut of “Tolkien,” giving audiences the chance to see this much-anticipated film on May 7 ahead of its theatrical nationwide release on May 10.  The Fathom cinema event will also feature an exclusive live Q&A with stars Nicholas Hoult, Lily Collins and director Dome Karukoski, moderated by Tolkien super-fan Stephen Colbert host of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on CBS. “Tolkien” tells the story of how J. R. R. A new play about growing up gay in the North of England in the early noughties to be workshopped in Higher Walton Community Centre, prior to a London showcase at the Omnibus Theatre in Clapham.

TOLKIEN explores the formative years of the orphaned author as he finds friendship, love and artistic inspiration among a group of fellow outcasts at school. This takes him into the outbreak of World War I, which threatens to tear the “fellowship” apart. All of these experiences would inspire Tolkien to write his famous Middle-Earth novels.

Red Bull Theater today announced the cast for the next REVELATION READING, Mike Poulton's (Fortune's Fool, Wolf Hall) Don Carlos by Friedrich Schiller, directed by Mr. Berger: Ron Canada, Helen Cespedes, Celeste Ciulla, Kelley Curran, Sanjit De Silva, Ezra Knight, Sam Lilja, Ismenia Mendes, Patrick Page, Rod Singleton, and Paxton Whitehead.  This will take place on Monday February 25 at 7:30pm at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, between Bleecker and Hudson Streets).

Jim Carter and Imelda Staunton return to Kiln Theatre to host a one-off special cabaret event to raise funds for the theatre on Sunday, 10 March 2019 at 6pm. The Royal Theatrical Fund, a member charity of Acting for Others, today announces its Christmas Festival 2018, with a fantastic line up of theatre royalty coming together in support of the charity. The festival takes place at the Charing Cross Theatre on Tuesday 11 December at 6.30pm.
