The Coronado Island Film Festival (CIFF), running Nov. 8 -11, is celebrating the achievements of four film industry luminaries at a red-carpet gala honoring Cloris Leachman with the Legacy Award, Diane Warren with the Transcendent Award, Michelle Phillips with the Cultural Impact Award, and Lois Burwell with Artistry in Filmmaking Award.

United Talent Agency (UTA), one of the world's leading talent and entertainment companies, today announced the appointment of Arthur Lewis as Creative Director of UTA Fine Arts and UTA Artist Space. In overseeing these two UTA programs, Lewis will help guide the careers of artists represented in UTA's Fine Arts group and oversee exhibitions, programming, and partnerships with the LA and national art communities through UTA Artist Space in Beverly Hills.

On May 5th, Auctions at Showplace will present the first of two auctions featuring items from the collection of celebrated stage and screen actor, Ron Rifkin. A native New Yorker, Rifkin, has garnered acclaim for his work on and off Broadway including a 1998 Tony Award for his performance as Herr Schultz in the musical revival of Cabaret. His numerous movie credits include JFK, The Substance of Fire, and most recently the 2018 hit remake of A Star is Born. On TV, he is best known for his recurring role as Arvin Sloane opposite Jennifer Garner on the ABC series Alias, and as Saul Holden on the series Brothers and Sisters.

Andrew Bird premieres his video for “Sisyphus” today—watch/share here. The Texas State Library & Archives Commission (TSLAC) recently awarded funding to Austin Film Festival (AFF) and The Wittliff Collections at Texas State University under its TexTreasures Grant program. Starting September of this year, The Wittliff Collections is confirmed to host more of Austin Film Festival's vast audiovisual archive and feature materials preserved from Festivals and Conferences between 1997-2002.

Nick Ebeling's ALONG FOR THE RIDE is a revealing portrait of Dennis Hopper and journey through a 47 year friendship and brotherhood with right-hand man Satya de la Manitou. The film premiered at the 2016 Venice Film Festival and went on to play the 2017 Il Cinema Ritrovato festival, inspiring the current 'restoration in progress' for Hopper's passion project THE LAST MOVIE.
