Prospect Theater Company has announced the performers who will be appearing in its 2022 Musical Theater Lab Concert presentation: Caption This. Thirty actors from Broadway and beyond will bring their talents to the stage to celebrate the hot-off-the-presses new works generated in this year's lab process. 

Next week, 54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club & Private Event Destination, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond. A recipient of the 2022 Tony Awards Honor for Excellence in the Theatre, 54 Below celebrates Broadway musicals and writers of the past and present, promoting an ongoing engagement with their work.

Stepping out from behind the production boards and into the spotlight, the sought after producer is releasing the most inspired album of his career The Turning Of The Bright World on July 12, 2022 via Kitten Robot Records. In addition, Roessler has released 'Maker,' the lead single and the first preview of The Turning of The Bright World. 'Maker' can be streamed on DSPs now. 

The Fulton Theatre will close out the 2021/22 Season's Ellen Arnold Groff Studio Series with Five Guys Named Moe, a swinging musical tribute celebrating the exuberant sounds of rhythm and blues pioneer, Louis Jordan. The title song, Five Guys Named Moe, was written in 1942 and performed by Jordan and his Tympani Five. The Harlem Renaissance is alive and well with zoot suits, upright bass, swinging beats, and soulful jazz. This musical fantasy is filled with high-energy dancing and incredible vocals that are sure to bring sheer joy and entertainment to all.

The artists of diversity in cabaret and concert are ready and willing to work - they just need to be invited to the table.

The Omaha Community Playhouse (OCP) production of Stick Fly will open on Friday, May 6, 2022. The show, directed by DeMone Seraphin, will run in the Howard Drew Theatre through June 5 with performances Thursdays through Sundays. Tickets are on sale now starting at $36 with prices varying by performance.

Barrington Stage Company has announced casting for the first two shows of its 2022 season: the 1978 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Ain’t Misbehavin’: The Fats Waller Musical Show, and the world premiere play, Andy Warhol in Iran by Brent Askari (BSC’s American Underground) which opens the St. Germain Stage from June 2-25.

Avant Bard Theatre today announced its next season, which marks a grateful return to live theatre after more than a year of remote performances and programming.
