Tacoma Arts Live announces the 2023-24 Season, featuring a wide variety of exhilarating events, inspiring productions, and essential arts programs. Choose-your-own subscription packages of three or more shows are on sale now, Contributor tickets are on sale July 17, and single tickets go on sale July 24.  

WPR presents “An Evening with David Sedaris.” Get ready for 90 minutes of continuous fun and laughter at “An Evening with David Sedaris” on Monday, Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. in Overture Hall.

LPM presents An Evening with David Sedaris, author of the previous bestsellers Calypso, Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day, Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, and regular National Public Radio contributor will be appearing for one night only at the Brown Theatre on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 7:30pm, following the release of his newest books Happy-Go-Lucky and A Carnival of Snackery.

WOSU Presents an Evening with David Sedaris, author of the previous bestsellers Calypso, Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day, Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, and regular National Public Radio contributor, will be appearing for one night only at the Palace Theatre on October 16 at 7:30 pm, following the release of his newest books Happy-Go-Lucky and A Carnival of Snackery.

KQED will present An Evening with David Sedaris live on stage for one night only at the War Memorial Opera House on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 7:30 p.m.

Using a famous line from Broadway's “Moulin Rouge, The Musical,” Overture Center revealed its “spectacular” 2023/24 season at a live, in-person event in Overture Hall Main Lobby this evening, showcasing an array of diverse artistic expressions, cultures and personalities.  Performing Arts Houston has announced its 23/24 Season of national and international touring artists and new works from artists in the Houston community. The arrival of the new season will coincide with major advances in the multi-year renovation of Jones Hall, including the installation of new auditorium seating, expanded restrooms, and more.

McCarter Theater will welcome audiences to Pearl Cleage's love letter to friendship and the Harlem Renaissance, BLUES FOR AN ALABAMA SKY, on stage in the Berlind Theatre May 6th through the 28th. The play marks the McCarter directorial debut of Associate Artistic Director Nicole A. Watson. 

The 2023 Audie Awards recognizes distinction in audiobooks and spoken-word entertainment. Billy Porter won for Best Autobiography/Memoir for his Finding Me audiobook. Viola Davis’ Finding Me, which she wrote and narrated, and published by HarperCollins Publishers, earned two Audie Awards. The fully renovated State Theatre New Jersey presents An Evening with David Sedaris on Tuesday, April 4 at 7:30pm. Sedaris will do a book signing after the show for all ticket holders. Tickets range from $29-$69.  

Hennepin Theatre Trust has announced NPR humorist David Sedaris returns by popular demand on Friday, Oct. 27, 2023 at 8 p.m. at the historic State Theatre (805 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis).

Best-selling author David Sedaris is set to appear October 30, 2023 at Orpheum Theater in Sioux Falls.

The Audio Publishers Association has announced finalists for the 2023 Audie Awards®, the premier awards program recognizing distinction in audiobooks and spoken-word entertainment. Winners across 26 competitive categories will be revealed at the Audie Awards Gala on March 28. The ceremony will be streamed to the public from Chelsea Piers’ Pier Sixty in NYC. 

On March 8, literary icon Margaret Atwood takes the stage at Symphony Space to host a Selected Shorts event devoted to her first book of short fiction in almost a decade.

Jazz at Princeton University, helmed by acclaimed saxophonist/composer Rudresh Mahanthappa, and the McCarter Theatre kick off a new partnership on Saturday, February 11 with “For the Love of It,” a concert celebrating life, love, and culture through diverse musical styles and composers.

McCarter Board Chair, W. Rochelle Calhoun has announced that the McCarter Board's  Executive Committee has voted to hire veteran arts leader Susie Medak to fill the role of Interim Managing  Director effective immediately. Arts Consulting Group (ACG) conducted the search to place Ms. Medak in  this leadership role for McCarter.
