Bucks County Playhouse Youth Company is accepting video audition submissions for five male roles (ages 13-18) for their upcoming production of “ALiEN8.” Audition submissions should include the following: auditioner’s name and age, singing 16-32 bars of any song, as well as reading each audition scene as Ethan, Zach, Brasfield, and Ray Berry. ArtYard will present a staged reading of Whittier by Tylie Shider, the inaugural playwright in its residency program. The event will take place on Saturday, May 21 at 4 p.m. in the nonprofit art center's newly opened McDonnell Theater. An artist talk and audience Q&A will follow the reading.

Passage Theatre Company is preparing for the premiere of their newest theatre for families and young audiences production appropriate for ages 10+. 

Janet Wide Awake: The Hedgepeth-Williams Dream is an original play written by David Lee White, Richard Bradford, and students at the Hedgepeth-Williams Middle School of the Arts, which tells the true story of Gladys Hedgepth and Berline Williams and their fight for racial equality at the Trenton school formerly known as Junior High No. 2. 

The Playhouse Youth Company will hold auditions for ages 13 – 18 on Saturday, April 30, 2022, from 10am – 3:30pm, with callbacks on May 1 at Lambertville Hall, 57 Bridge Street, Lambertville, NJ.

Vivid Stage, formerly Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, in residence at Oakes Center at 120 Morris Avenue in Summit, is celebrating spring with a performance by The Flip Side, Vivid's house Improv team, on March 19 at 8:00 pm. All audience members will be asked to show proof of vaccination at the box office. Right now, we are requiring masks for the audience. We will be following current CDC rules on masking as they evolve.

Based on a true story and composed of verbatim interviews from those directly involved, The OK Trenton Project, presented by Passage Theatre Company in Trenton, New Jersey, is an experience that explores the role art plays in the community and the consequences faced when it’s taken away.  The world premiere production runs at the Mill Hill Playhouse (205 E. Front Street, Trenton) now through February 27, 2022.
