Rubicon Theatre Company, Ventura’s non-profit professional theatre company, will continue the company’s 2022-2023 Season with the World Premiere of LONESOME TRAVELER: GENERATIONS, conceived by George Grove and James O’Neil, with musical direction by Rick Dougherty and George Grove and direction by Rubicon Co-Founder James O’Neil.

In celebration of her soon to be released album Ann Kittredge:reIMAGINE(Jazzheads, Inc./King Kozmo Music), a specially curated collection of songs uniquely re-imagined, Ms. Kittredge, will appear at The Laurie Beechman Theatre (407 West 42nd Street – between 9th & 10th Avenues) on Thursday, May 26th at 7pm.

This year's graduating seniors have had anything but a normal high school experience and the past two years have taught them resilience, flexibility, and grace. Undoubtedly, they deserve a bit of celebration for their tenacity and courage. Luckily for students at Sonora High School, Todd Schroeder is back after a five-year hiatus to raise money for the Todd Schroeder Young Artists' Grant to benefit young graduates going into the arts. Todd himself is a graduate of Sonora High School who went on to a successful career as a pianist, composer, and music director. Since 1995, Todd has been giving back to the community with this grant. This year boasts an impressive lineup of celebrities, such as Jason Alexander of Seinfeld fame. Broadway World spoke to Todd about his organization and what we can look forward to at this year's benefit concert that will be happening in Sonora on April 30.

I've mentioned before that I don't generally care for musicals. Never have. I did fall in love with West Side Story as a kid, but when other movies like Oklahoma!, Carousel, Paint Your Wagon, and yes, even Annie Get Your Gun came on tv, I was outta there. This is how it has been for most of my life (although I did get to see Wicked on Broadway, and wowzer!)

Just released on NYSO Records December 29th, Broadway alum from musicals such as Hamilton and Wicked harmonize in a celebratory countdown to 2022, composed by Philip David Stern (Stone Crossed).

Chris Isaacson Presents and Ronn Goswick have announced the addition of the Season 10 winner of NBC's The Voice Alisan Porter along with Chad Doreck, Kate Harmon, Bethany Joy Lenz, Nicole Santiago, Matt Zarley, and newcomer Ava Delaney to the lineup of performers for the 12th Annual A Broadway Christmas. 

Chris Isaacson Presents and Ronn Goswick have announced the 12th Annual A Broadway Christmas. Hosted by Broadway stars Eden Espinosa and David Burnham with musical direction by Gerald Sternbach, there will be one performance only on Sunday, December 19, at 7:30pm, at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood.

The Richard and Karen Carpenter Performing Arts Center has unveiled their 2021-22 season featuring a captivating collection of music, dance, comedy, and speakers. The Desert's Premiere Concert Event just got starrier with the addition of Lucie Arnaz to the incredible cast of 26 celebrated Broadway Veterans! Michael Childers’ star-studded musical production of One Night Only “Back to the ’70s” will be presented on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 6:00 p.m., at the McCallum Theatre for the Performing Arts. This year’s show benefits Barbara Sinatra Children’s Center, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary. One Night Only is now in its 15th successful year as one of the Desert’s most thrilling theatrical evenings.
