Philadelphia alt rock band Knightlife have released their new LP 'Forever Fight,' out on all digital platforms NOW. A cool combination of classic rock influences and modern alternative, Knightlife brings thick vocal textures and lyrical depth to the mix on 'Forever Fight.' Exploring themes of self-confidence ('Tangerines'), premature loss ('Behind The Past'), and the upkeep of relationships ('Chasin' The Times'), Knightlife shows depth and insight far behind their years. Gothic vocals shrouded by synthesized atmospherics greet you upon entering the world of Xymox. While their album Twist of Shadows isn't exactly industrial in its sound, the bpm's run mid-tempo and sound totally danceable in a New Order-ish way. This expanded remastered double vinyl release includes the club hits 'Obsession' and 'Blind Hearts,' along with several rare 12' mixes and B-sides. A couple of the tracks have string arrangements by famed producer Tony Visconti, who was responsible for several of David Bowie's landmark releases. The two LPs are housed in a gatefold jacket complete with lyrics, and the artwork was designed by Vaughan Oliver of 4AD fame. Originally released in 1989, this is the most accessible Xymox album, selling over 300,000 copies, and their first on a major label. The 2-CD remaster also contains 10 bonus tracks in all with some very rare 12' mixes and B-sides which have never been available on CD.

Cello soloist Maya Beiser joins composer/conductor Evan Ziporyn and his Ambient Orchestra to perform Bowie Symphonic: Blackstar, a startling and soaring new version of David Bowie's entire last album Blackstar for solo cello and orchestra. Arranged for Beiser by Ziporyn, who will also conduct Ambient Orchestra, Bowie Symphonic: Blackstar has been performed to capacity audiences in Boston, Barcelona, and New York City's Central Park SummerStage. For this performance, Ambient Orchestra is joined by musicians from Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

The Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) and the Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA) have announced the nominees for the third annual Critics' Choice Documentary Awards.
