Rockwell Table & Stage currently houses The Fuse Project's stunning, STUNNING production of SCISSORHANDS - A MUSICAL. Co-written by Kate Pazakis and Bradley Bredeweg (who also directs), the 1990 hit film Edward Scissorhands receives the Pazakis/Bredeweg Midas touch, updating the movie with gender-bending, social issues consciousness, and, as they both are known for including - incredible vocals.

The Tank will present the World Premiere of Real, written by Rodrigo Nogueira (The Ideal Obituary at The Tank) and directed by Erin Ortman (One Thousand Nights and One Day with Prospect Theater Company) in the 99-seat theater at The Tank (312 West 36th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues), January 3-20, 2019.

The holidays are Rob Mathes' favorite time of year - they are the time that Mathes returns home to the Greenwich, Connecticut, area and performs his annual Holiday Concert. This year's concerts are December 14 and 15 at the Performing Arts Center at Purchase College, and December 16 at the Schimmel Center in New York City. All three concerts are sold out and will feature Rob Mathes, his all-star band, his choir of 'Saints and Friends' and special guests Sting, Vanessa Williams and David Sanborn who will join Rob for a few holiday-themed songs at the Performing Arts Center. Sting and Vanessa Williams will also join Mathes at the Schimmel Center on Sunday for a few songs.

London-local songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sands has released his brand new double A-side single, 'Tomorrow's Gone' / 'Burning Man', on November 30, via Spaghetti Sounds. Sands will also be sharing a visual accompaniment for the 'Burning Man' part of his double A-side single, directed by Eddie Plex. Composed, produced and performed by Sands himself, the double A-side single follows on from his sophomore EP 'Waves Calling'. For the fourth consecutive year, The Iridium be hosting Association of Performing Arts Presenters (APAP) artist showcases with the 2019 lineup featuring Grammy-award winning composer, singer and songwriter Jimmy Webb with Ashley Campbell on Friday, January 4; American folk singer Susan Werner and jazz vocalist Ann Hampton Callaway on Saturday, January 5; and jazz fingerstyle guitarists Martin Taylor & Laurence Juber on Sunday, January 6.

The New School's College of Performing Arts (CoPA) today announced a landmark partnership with the Philip Glass Ensemble (PGE) and long-time PGE member, Lisa Bielawa, around the work of Philip Glass, one of the world's preeminent composers, musicians, and authors, to form a new learning and creative center. Building on Glass's enduring contributions to modern culture, the Philip Glass Institute (PGI) will offer students, faculty, and the public the opportunity to immerse themselves in the work of Philip Glass, other important artists within his circle, and the work of the iconic Philip Glass Ensemble. Renowned composer and long-time vocalist for the PGE Lisa Bielawa will become the inaugural Composer-in-Residence and Chief Curator of the Philip Glass Institute.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 - Broadway's new contemporary cabaret club - has announced the return of acclaimed singer and songwriter SPENCER DAY, who continues his debut residency on Friday, December 14 at 7:00 PM. 

Gijs Naber will play the leading part in Lazarus, the David Bowie musical. Naber plays the role of Thomas Newton. Ivo van Hove, who created the show together with Bowie and Enda Walsh in New York, will also direct the Dutch production.
