New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo have announced that due to popular demand the run of Peter and the Starcatcher has extended again for one final week-through Sunday, April 24, when it will play its last performance.

Peter and the Starcatcher, written by Rick Elice, directed by Roger Rees and Alex Timbers, based upon the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, opened Wednesday, March 9 to rave notices and has already set a record for the highest grossing day in NYTW history. The thought crossed my mind more than once during the intermission of Rick Elice's delightfully funny romp, Peter and the Starcatcher, now playing at the New York Theatre Workshop.  Why was the versatile comic actor, Christian Borle, fresh from an acclaimed dramatic turn as Prior Walter in Signature's Angels in America, now regulated to a perfectly respectable but not exactly choice ensemble role in this prequel to J. M. Barrie's tale of Peter Pan?

FAB Cafe will celebrate its new concession partnership with New York Theatre Workshop by offering delicious mini-cupcakes from the Lower East Side Girls Club's Sweet Things Bakeshop starting February 18, 2011. Cupcakes will be sold for $1 and will be available in the theater's lobby during performances and at the Cafe's main location at 75 East 4th Street. For kids, it doesn't get better - an entertaining, exciting show hand in hand with sweets.
