The Alley Theatre and interim artistic director James Black announce the cast and crew of the new Sherlock Holmes adventure Holmes and Watson byJeffrey Hatcher and directed by Mark Shanahan. This version of the play was written for the Alley by Hatcher. Based on the characters of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle,Holmes and Watson plays the Hubbard Theatre June 22 - July 22, 2018. Neighborly rivalry escalates into an all-out border dispute in Karen Zacar as' newest hot-button comedy Native Gardens, which makes its D.C. debut at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater. Blake Robison directs this hilarious new play about the clash of class and culture that pushes well-meaning neighbors over the edge. Native Gardens is a co-production with Guthrie Theater and runs now through October 22, 2017 in the Kreeger Theater. Whether they were the apartment down the hall that blasted their stereo or the house next door that held parties till the wee small hours of the morning, everyone has had a problem neighbor. And while many a comedy has taken place when the mantra 'good fences makes good neighbors' goes south, Native Gardens aims to do much more than make people laugh. When Native Gardens begins performances at Arena Stage next week it hopes to start a conversation.
