Members of the theatre community joined television and film vets to support the ongoing fundraiser for StateraArts on August 22.

Beautiful's Kara Lindsay, Little Known Fact's Ilana Levine, and more came out to support 'Changemakers: A Celebration of Women and StateraArts' at The Green Room 42 on August 22. The concert was part of the ongoing fundraiser for StateraArts, a national volunteer organization working to bring women into full and equal participation in the arts.

It was announced today that Ilana Levine, host of the popular podcast 'Little Known Facts,' will appear in 'Changemakers: A Celebration of Women and StateraArts.' Levine joins Rachel Spencer Hewitt in a panel talk on motherhood and the Parent Artist Advocacy League.

This week, Broadway Bounty Hunter star Annie Golden got a backstage visit from some of her buddies from the TV series Orange Is The New Black!

Did you know that last year only 17% of creative leadership roles on Broadway were held by women? To help change the stage, The Green Room 42 presents Changemakers: A Celebration of Women and StateraArts on Thursday, August, 22nd at 7 PM. Join veterans from Broadway, Television, and Film for tales of sisterhood, challenges in the workplace, and overcoming adversity.

Initial casting and remaining directors have been announced for Pride Plays, an upcoming festival of play readings to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising. Nick Mayo serves as Festival Director.

Six years ago today, the uplifting musical Hands on a Hardbody, based on a documentary of the same name, opened on Broadway featuring Broadway favorites like Keala Settle, Jay Armstrong Johnson, and Alison Case! On this day in 2013, the new musical Hands On A Hardbody opened on Broadway at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.

Inspired by the successful reading of the classic play, "12 Angry Men," by Reginald Rose this fall featuring 12 Broadway actresses, producer Lauren Class Schneider announced in January that women in law schools, universities, high schools, community and regional theaters, and community centers across the country were invited to raise their voices - with scripts in hand - in readings of the play with all-female casts over the weekend of April 5-8, 2019.

Manhattan Theatre Club's 2018-2019 season officially kicked off last night with the American premiere of The Nap, written by Olivier Award nominee Richard Bean and directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan. Verdict is in! The all-female ensemble for the staged reading of Twelve Angry Men (September 16, Theatre Row) received standing ovations for the stellar all-star company of Broadway women. Tony Award winner Cady Huffman directed the show which inspired and drew laughs from the standing-room-only house.

Dale Soules (Orange Is The New Black, Hands On A Hardbody) will step into a reading of Michael Raver's new political drama, Evening. Bedlam Artistic Director Eric Tucker will direct the reading on September 24th in New York. Soules replaces the previously announced Roberta Maxwell.

On Monday, June 18, 2018, the theater world and New York communities will come together for Broadway Sings for Pride's 8th annual charity concert entitled "Revolution"!  Hair co-creator James Rado (Grammy-Award Winner) and Hair original choreographer Julie Arenal (Broadway/West End) will join over 35 tribe members to celebrate Pride with a special Hair reunion musical performance during the event.

Irish Repertory Theatre (Charlotte Moore, Artistic Director and Ciaran O'Reilly, Producing Director) announced today that Dale Soules ('Orange is the New Black,' Hands on a Hardbody) will join the cast of the New York premiere of WOMAN AND SCARECROW by Marina Carr (The Mai, By the Bog of Cats).

Just last night, the Dramatists Guild Foundation (DGF) gathered the best of Broadway at the Hudson Theatre to toast the life and work of one of American theatre's greatest living composers, Stephen Schwartz, on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 7pm EST. The star-filled concert, sponsored in part by the Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) and the Hudson Theatre, showcased and shined a spotlight on Schwartz's beloved songs, stories, and legacy in celebration of his 70th Birthday.

The gala celebrated John Tiffany, the Tony Award-winning Director of Once, which had its world premiere at NYTW, as well as Harry Potter and the Cursed Child; along with Barbara Cutler Emden, who is celebrating 25 years of arts advocacy and exceptional service on the NYTW Board of Trustees.

PRIMARY STAGES presents the World Premiere of A WALK WITH MR. HEIFETZ, which opened last night at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce St, New York, NY, 10014) on January 31, 2018. A WALK WITH MR. HEIFETZ will play a limited run through March 4, 2018.
