Starbird & the Phoenix (Courtney Bassett & Andrew Swackhamer; The Great Comet, Manifest) will join Broadway Buskers in the series' concert on Tuesday, September 29. The program will also feature performances by Taylor Iman Jones (Head Over Heels, Hamilton) and Storm Thomas (Lexus' Verses and Flow, Futurity).

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, will present The Crystal Gems of Broadway on April 17, 2020. Brought to life for the first time in New York, Broadway's brightest stars celebrate 'Steven Universe' in an evening of songs from the show and movie at Feinstein's/54 Below. For one night only, Rebecca Sugar's compositions will take you laugh and cry on a journey about love, compassion, and relationships. Get ready to hear all of your favorites, including 'Love Like You', 'Happily Ever After', and of course 'We Are The Crystal Gems'. Featuring an all-star Broadway cast, this is one concert no Broadway or Steven Universe fan should miss!

Gillespie (NBC'S Rise, Newsies), Emma Pittman (Winner of The Search for Roxie) and more in Danny Feldman's a?oeHIDE AND SEEKa?? on February 21, 2020 at 9:30pm. An autobiographical musical, Hide and Seek tells the story of Andrew, a high school student who realizes that he is gay. As he comes to terms with his newfound sexuality, he finds himself struggling to navigate his way through his relationship with friends, a former girlfriend, his new boyfriend, and his family. As he attempts to find his true self, Andrew learns more about living life authentically. Written by Danny Feldman at the age of sixteen, the evening will feature orchestrations by Eli Schildkraut and will be music directed by Luke Williams.

This high energy, 'sit on the edge of your seat' play is crafted written by Joni Nelson who has cleverly meshed a social commentary into rollicking great entertainment that you will enjoy and will make you think.
There are loads of laughs and surprises (who exactly is in the bathroom?) amongst the pathos and this story had me engrossed from the beginning to the end. A sign of a great play is when time flies. Time flew.

Alabama Shakespeare Festival will present a new production of The Sound of Music beginning November 15, 2018, directed by ASF Artistic Director Rick Dildine. The Sound of Music features music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein, and book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse (suggested by "The Trapp Family Singers" by Maria Augusta Trapp.)
