Vineyard Theatre has announced a schedule change for Lessons In Survival. To provide more time for single ticket buyers to view performances and to better connect Sunday Community Conversation events and performances, the schedule for the remaining three weeks of programming has been adjusted slightly.

The Commissary, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, and New Neighborhood will present Why Would I Dare?: The Trial of Crystal Mason, a virtual reading of the court transcript from the 2018 trial of Crystal Mason.

Opening tonight at 3-Legged Dog is the world premiere of 3/Fifths, conceived and written by James Scruggs, with direction and dramaturgy by Tamilla Woodard and Kareem Fahmy, and choreographed by Andre M. Zachery. 3/Fifths, an interactive romp through the minefields of racism in the US, turns 3LD Art and Technology Center into SupremacyLand, a dystopian theme park that puts white privilege on display.

All three plays take place at or near the start of the twentieth century, craftily combining themes as relevant today as they were then - collaborating with suspenseful plots, troubled characters and questionable motives that, when put together, show just how clever Todoroff and Pinkins are. In both the structure of this show as a whole and the effect it has on the audience, the truth here is that Visionary Voices is more than a statement - it is definitely a production worth your time.

T. Schreiber Theatre (TST) celebrates its 48th Anniversary with the first play of their 2016-17 Season, The Motherf**ker with the Hat by Stephen Adly Guirgis. The production is the first New York revival of the play since the Broadway run in 2011. Playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2015 for his play Between Riverside and Crazy and co-created the hit Netflix series The Get Down with Baz Luhrmann.
