Manhattan Theatre Club is presenting the American premiere of Golden Shield, written by Anchuli Felicia King (White Pearl) and directed by May Adrales (Vietgone at MTC).

Amas Musical Theatre in association with Melissa M Jones/All Awesome LLC, will present an industry reading of SuperYou, a new musical with book, lyrics, music and arrangements from the visionary mind of creator, Lourds Lane at Theatre Row – Theater 2 (410 West 42nd Street) on Thursday, April 21 at 3pm.

Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater are open this April with a full slate of nightly performances! 

The cast is comprised of established Broadway artists and local rising stars. Part of the Virginia Arts Festival's 25th Anniversary Season, the new production is led by Conductor Rob Fisher, the Festival's Artistic Advisor of Musical Theater & American Songbook and Stage Director Matt Kunkel.

The Virginia Arts Festival has announced the complete cast for The Sound of Music, co-produced by the Festival and the Virginia Opera May 13-15 at the Harrison Opera House.

Comedian Lewis Black has announced summer and fall dates for his Off The Rails Tour which includes the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts on December 9, 2022 at 8 pm.

The Warner Theatre will welcome comedian Lewis Black when he hits the road on his Off the Rails Tour and stops in Torrington on Friday, December 2 at 8 pm. Tickets are on sale to Warner Members on Wednesday, March 23 at 10 am and to the General Public Friday, March 25 at 10 am.

Just last night, New York City Center Encores! wrapped up The Life, directed and adapted by Billy Porter. The production starred Jelani Alladin as Lou, Alexandra Grey as Queen, Antwayn Hopper as Memphis, Grammy nominee Mykal Kilgore as Young JoJo, Grammy Award winner Ledisi as Sonja, Erika Olson as Mary, Destan Owens as Old Jojo, and Ken Robinson as Fleetwood. The Washington County Playhouse Dinner Theater will present their first MainStage play of 2022, Neil Simon's Last of the Red Hot Lovers! This MainStage comedy opens March 18 at The Playhouse.
