A 'Big' salute to songwriters Maltby & Shire, hosted and music-directed by Michael Lavine, brings us 'Closer Than Ever' to perfection. As tributes go, the one filled with the songs of Maltby and Shire, as they were bestowed the Lifetime Achievement Award, was tops. Filled with theatre and cabaret performers, it was a great night.

Kinesis Project dance theatre, the New York City based large-scale, outdoor dance company, has announced the first public performance of Bridge Matter/The Reach on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 6:30pm and Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 6pm at Fort Washington Park.

The People vs. Lenny Bruce is the third segment of 'All The Court's A Stage,' a series of plays that are based on seven of Martin Garbus‘ cases. With a dramatic adaptation by Susan Charlotte from the 1964 obscenity case, and directed by Antony Marsellis, it will make its Los Angeles premiere at Garry Marshall Theatre July 21st and 22nd.

Sofia Carson and Corey Mylchreest will be leading My Oxford Year, a romance feature for Netflix. The film will be written by Allison Burnett and directed by Iain Morris. My Oxford Year is based on a novel by Julia Whelan, which itself is adapted from Burnett’s original screenplay.

As I mentioned in my introduction post, I am not a native to the Harrisonburg area. My hometown is Miami, Florida which is the complete opposite in every imaginable way.
