Berkeley Playhouse will celebrate the holiday season with one of Broadway’s most beloved family musicals, Annie, running November 7–December 21, 2025, at the Julia Morgan Theater.

Cynthia Erivo, Jean Smart, and more voice characters in a new animated special of Charlotte's Web, debuting on HBO Max on October 2.

Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) will present the family musical Annie October 17–26 at THE BLACK BOX in Franklin, MA. The production stars young local actor Colette Lelievre in the title role. Lelievre, a Bellingham resident, is a student at Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public School and the Franklin School for the Performing Arts.

Cadence Theatre will launch its 2025–2026 season this fall, celebrating 16 years of presenting bold and thought-provoking work in Richmond. The new season features a mix of world premieres, timeless classics, and site-specific performances, spotlighting resilience, imagination, and the power of live storytelling.

A new, mystery musical aet in the twenties Perfect World tells the true-life story of Barbara Follett, a precocious child writer who had an extraordinary love of writing. 

Michael Harrison and David Ian’s smash hit production of ANNIE will tour the UK and Ireland in 2026, with performances at Milton Keynes Theatre from July 21–26. Directed by Nikolai Foster.

The Times Square Church, located on 51st Street between Broadway and 8th Avenue, is an extremely storied New York City spot. While it may not be apparent to those who unknowingly pass by the church, the venue across from the Gershwin’s stage door was once a glorious Broadway theater… and could potentially be one again someday.

Dear Readers, there are some shows that just hold a special place in your heart, even if they may not age as well as you hoped. Charles Strouse and Lee Adams’ classic “Bye Bye Birdie”, currently playing at the 5th Avenue Theatre, is one of those shows for me. I loved both movie versions, saw what I consider to be the quintessential production back in 1990 starring Tommy Tune and Ann Reinking. Hell, I’ve even done the show several years ago. So, I’m a little picky about it when I see it again, and while this current production doesn’t surpass my previous experiences (I doubt anything could), it was certainly a solid production with a lot of fun moments going for it.
