Disney Channel Announces Earth Day Programming

Disney Channel will commemorate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day and the 25th anniversary of the Disney Conservation Fund with special interstitials highlighting the animal care and wildlife conservation efforts led by Cast Members at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park beginning MONDAY, APRIL 20.

Disney Channel Shares 'We're All In This Together' Messages

A series of new interstitial messages, from kids' favorite Disney Channel stars, designed to offer reassurance and a sense of community during the present global health crisis premieres FRIDAY, MARCH 27, on Disney Channel and Disney Channel YouTube. The series includes over 35 Disney Channel stars who each filmed their message from their homes and around their neighborhoods, sharing how they stay positive, active and, with the help of parents and family members, navigate through this uncertain time. The series is designed to demonstrate for viewers age 6-14 that they are not alone in this experience, and we are all in this together (#WAITT).

RATINGS: ZOMBIES 2 Delivers 1.9 Million Kids and Nearly 5 Million Total Viewers for Disney Channel

Another howling success for kids, tweens and families was delivered by the premiere telecast of the Disney Channel Original Movie 'ZOMBIES 2' (Friday, Feb. 14, 8:00 p.m.), which according to Nielsen's Live+7 data is the #1 cable telecast of 2020 to-date (excluding sports/news programming) with nearly 5 million Total Viewers 2+. It was watched by 1.9 million Kids 6-11 viewers (12.56 rating), 1.4 million Girls 6-11 (18.43 rating), 1.6 million Tweens 9-14 (9.98 rating), 1.1 million Girls 9-14 and 4.9 million Total Viewers - higher ratings than its Feb. 2018 predecessor, 'ZOMBIES.' The sequel posted cable television's highest ratings among all Kid and Girl demographics since Disney Channel's premiere of 'Descendants 3' in Aug. 2019. Replays of the movie are strong performers on Disney Channel linear, Video On Demand and DisneyNOW and it ranks in the Top 5 TV Chart on Apple iTunes.

Disney Channel Original Movie ZOMBIES 2 Soundtrack is Available for Pre-Order Now

Walt Disney Records is set to release the soundtrack for the Disney Channel Original Movie 'ZOMBIES 2,' the sequel to the #1 cable TV telecast of 2018 with Kids and Girls 6-11 and Tweens and Girls 9-14. Featuring original songs performed by the cast, the soundtrack will be available on Friday, February 14, in conjunction with the movie's premiere on Disney Channel (8:00 p.m. EST/PST) and DisneyNOW.

This MONSTROUS comedy featuring the original cast, some exciting newcomers, a host of new songs and brilliant choreography premieres FRIDAY, FEB. 14 (8:00 p.m. EST/PST), on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW, in a programming event designed as a howling culmination of kids' Valentine's Day 2020 celebrations.

Disney Channel Announces Additional Casting for ZOMBIES 2

The roles of three teen werewolves (siblings Willa and Wyatt and their packmate Wynter) have been cast for the movie sequel eagerly awaited by millions of kids and tweens—'ZOMBIES 2.' Actors Pearce Joza (Disney's 'Mech X-4'), Chandler Kinney (Fox's 'Lethal Weapon') and top social media personality Ariel Martin (aka Baby Ariel) will join the cast of the Disney Channel Original Movie, debuting next year. Reprising their roles are fan favorites from the first movie Kylee Russell as Eliza, Trevor Tordjman as Bucky, Carla Jeffery as Bree, James Godfrey as Bonzo and Kingston Foster as Zoey, with the previously announced stars Meg Donnelly and Milo Manheim as Addison and Zed, respectively. Production begins on May 27.

The stars were shining in Hollywood for the 2016 Looking Ahead Awards on Tuesday night at the beautiful Taglyan Complex, where over 300 guests enjoyed exciting "blue carpet" arrivals, fabulous cocktail hour, fun photo booth, delicious gourmet dinner and a meaningful celebrity-studded awards ceremony. The event raised over $50,000 in support of The Actors Fund's Looking Ahead program.
